"Rumors are now flying that Neil Young & Crazy Horse will headline Bonnaroo 2012, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Lollapalooza."
They posted the news of the new album, I posted it here and revived the Neil for Roo stuff, They post a link to inforoo and call it a rumor. Shout out to Thrasher if you're reading this. I love you and your blog.

None of the other guys in the band have any say on if they tour or not. I bet they would all love to go out on the road but Neil is in charge. Just like with Buffalo Springfield. They had a international 6 week tour planned for August and September 2011 but Neil canned it right as it was about to be announced. Hopefully he will decide to tour with Crazy Horse
OK so throughout the video are clips of lyric sheets for a bunch of traditional folk songs. In the original interview that announced the album he mentioned 2 albums. The second one being americana based. I'm assuming that means it is going to be horseified versions of these traditionals which sounds amazing. The first one becomes the big ?. Is an album of Crazy Horse covering themselves possible. I would love new songs but that is actually a really cool idea. Neil is always evolving and changing his songs and an album of him re doing some of his classics in the way he hears them now has major potential as heard by the preview.
TR: There was to be a fall tour (Buffalo Springfield) and then it was postponed to this year sometime. What’s happening with it?
RF: I’m not going to be the one to talk to about this. I’m waiting to hear myself. First it was going to be after the first of the year and then it was changed until this year. Then I saw Neil was making other plans. I know we’re really all up for it. Stephen was kind of upset that it didn’t happen yet. But we’re ready. Whatever way it goes, I’m okay with it. I’m so enthralled with my band. Even though touring with them is a lot more work. I got spoiled touring with Buffalo Springfield! But, from what I hear, we have a 30-city tour in the works. I can’t really say anything more than it’s on hold for now.
I don't buy it at this point. Neil does not linger and once he moves on he moves on for good. They already had the 30 ish dates booked for late last summer and cancelled them all very late in the process. Apparently less than a week before they were announced. Stills has had this happen to him a handful of times so it's no surprise he isn't happy. Richie hasn't had it happen to him in over 40 years so he is optimistic something will happen but I think Stills knows better.

It's not so much the BS thing, to me. It was the fact that he said Neil had plans. If there is 2 records coming out, the man will tour.

OK so Im embarassed to say but I really haven't listened to too much Neil Young extensively. I've heard the hits, listened to a lot of Buffalo Springfield last Summer because of Roo and I own After the Gold Rush on vinyl. Also have been a CSNY fan since my childhood because of my dad. But he has such an expansive solo catalog Ive never really known where to dive in.
I'm looking for less of the acoustic, mellow folky-country stuff and more of the electric, rocking jamming stuff like what's streaming on the website right now. Give me an album or two to get started with, bacon or Garage
Anything with "& Crazy Horse" or "with Crazy Horse". Zuma is one of my favorites but I've been pulling out Wels a lot recently. Weld is live (and I typically don't like live records) but it is awesome.
