Where are those NYE rumours being found? All I see on the MMJ forums is a rumour they may be in NYC in the middle of December.
Pretty much from speculation and from one or two members on the MMJ board claiming they heard from someone that the band will be playing in NYC soon.
The fact that the band was interviewed and someone said they'd be playing a show in NYC again soon but they don't have a current tour date listed for that location made people start hoping for a Halloween or NYE show.
When I saw them in Milwaukee they played from 9:30-12:00. I'm guessing different venues have different curfews though, because a lot of their set lists only have 21-22 songs, and I think they played 26 when I saw them.

I also got 26. Everyone else who didn't are suckers. Except when I saw them at Bonnaroo and they played 21. I'm definitely not a sucker.

Screw the jam bands, My Morning Jacket is Bonnaroo. They will claim what is rightfully theirs soon enough. I hope they get the Sunday closing spot next year and not whatever band Bob Weir is in these days.

Last night in Cincy was a pretty standard Jacket show, loved every minute of it. Cobra was pretty short but still really awesome, wish I thought to record it on my phone... I've been lucky to get it twice out of 6 shows now
Usually I'll listen to a band a lot more than usual in the week or two before I know I'm going to see them... then for the weeks after their show a lot of times I don't feel like putting them on as often at all. MMJ is a huge exception to this for me...... can't get enough.
I think now since Circuital has been a while it has made MMJ more mainstream (I hate to use that word cause people take it the wrong way). It has had the Black Keys "Brothers" effect IMO. Circuital has made them significantly more popular. I'm not saying MMJ has gone "mainstream" but I think now they are appealing to more people that aren't really into music as much as we all are. That being said, I think MMJ could have easily headlined over WSP this year if Circuital was released a couple months earlier. So I would not be surprised at all if MMJ is back next year in a headlining spot. I know a lot of people probably disagree but with the success of Circuital I think it is possible. Plus A/C knows how much MMJ is beloved by the Roo crowd.

Now, I wasn't there but there's no way this was a pretty standard set with Cobra>Stop Draggin w Neko plus Steam Engine plus Daniel M Moore.
I think they have played Stop Draggin w/ Neko a couple of times during this tour. I could be wrong about though. I know I saw them collab on a couple of setlist. Can't remember if it was Stop Draggin each time though.
