The link is working now...It wasn't earlier. I'm a little dissapointed by the choice of song. There are so many live versions of the song and they play it almost every night. Having said that, it is an awesome recording and I absolutely love this song.
Hoping in the 6th week they have what I like to call the Radiohead option--Free DL of a Circuital song and an option of buying all 10 songs in advance of the album release.
" My Morning Jacket is thrilled to play alongside the one and only Preservation Hall Jazz Band in this beautiful new film from Danny Clinch. The film details a magically collaborative performance between the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and MMJ- late one night down in the French Quarter at the legendary Preservation Hall itself, along with documentary footage and interviews about the Preservation Hall and its rich New Orleans heritage. Please come down and check it out!

I am sure others have asked this but I need some help...I downloaded "Z" and it is pretty good...what other albums would you recommend? I am going to do a one at a time type thing. So whats next? Dondante is prob my favorite song of "Z" so far so that should give a little insight as to my tastes.

Start with 'Okonokos' which is a double live album. There are also very good live recordings on archive.org. In fact I posted links to some of them on page 25 or 26 of this thread. The old albums are beyond phenominal but the tunes sound different now (live) then they do on record.
Personally i love all the studio albums about equal. Some are more new listener friendly than others. Umm, maybe go with 'It Still Moves' next and go from there. But I really suggest you listen to the links I've posted. Also a great show on archive is the Portland 2008 show
I went absolutely bonkers when I heard the final chorus of Strangulation live for the first time. It was the closest I've ever come to crying tears of joy at a concert.
is that on the dvd? it's not on my ipod, and i thought i had the enitre album.
It's on the Vinyl, and the bonus DVD Acoustic Chorale that came with certain versions of the Okonoos DVD!
The elusive and rare Acoustic Chorale DVD! (I have 2 for good measure) If you want a copy try ebay they pop up on there every now and then. I got one of my copies for about $15 but the other was $35...So worth it!
Also if you go here mymorningjacket.com/forum/index.php?topic=2242.0 you can get the info on the DVD that was made by a fan last year from the Charlottetown show with PHJB. He used an HD camera and good audio equipment, then synched the two together. One of the best bootlegs I have ever seen in terms of quality.

do you think theyll do as many covers this year? they nailed all those old soul/funk songs they did, would be awesome to see them try it with a different sound
