There are spiders - they are my huge phobia, but somehow I manage to forget they are all around me in the long grass........ I've seen some pretty big ones while setting up our campsite, but otherwise they tend to stay away. Never really seen any other bugs except ants.

Mosquitos have been worse than normal this year, we're having an especially wet rainy season. Don't know if that'll affect the farm or not, it usually doesn't. All in all, when you think about camping in the mid/deep south for 4 days and the bugs that will be present, there aren't near as many as you think. Except maybe Barking Spiders. What's more important is that if you have sensitive or fair skin, the stuff they spray with can give you a nasty rash around your ankles. So wear socks.
So if you have sensitive skin, please be aware this can happen. Wash often, wear knee socks, boots if it rains, bring benadryl and hydrocortisone cream
