What do you guys think. This one is actually pretty tough for me. I like both bands a lot and they are both pretty new to me. I've never seen either in concert. I am definitely going to see John Prine, my wife says not seeing him isn't even an option, so I guess the M&S have the slight advantage since they will be in the tent right before Prine. What do you guys think? Any compelling reason to see one over the other?

I'm having a hard time with this one. These two bands were the ones that I wanted to see the most. They were quite possibly my biggest draw, now I don't know what to do. I want to get there early for whichever show I choose and then leave before the end to see the other so I can at least get in a little bit of both, question is do I want to sit in the sun for hours to see Baaba Maal, Norah Jones and Avetts or under a tent for Langhorne Slim, Brandi Carlile and Mumford and Sons......It's so tough!
It sorta boils down to sun vs shade.....even though I want to see Baaba Maal and Norah Jones a little bit more than the other two. Oh god someone make the decision for me!
These are my top bands for this Bonnaroo, so I'm really bummed about this conflict. I wish they would've done Mumford & Sons->Avetts->John Prine and moved one of the earlier sets somewhere else.
I'm thinking Mumford & Sons because I've already seen the Avetts a couple times. This sucks, though.

Shade would be nice and I would love to see M&S but I just can't bring myself to skip the Avetts... Especially after the last time they came to Dallas and I waited too long to buy tickets and they sold out But I guess what I wanted to say is, if you decide to go with M&S (or even if you don't) DON'T miss Langhorne Slim! He puts on a hell of a show!!
honestly the fact that the Which Stage is in play is making me think Mumford & Sons. I'll probably end up at the Avett Brothers, and just try to get a nice spot. I'm hoping we'll show up to the farm and they have nice big screens for us on the Which Stage.

I think this is what I have decided to do. I'm gonna get a good spot for Mumford & Sons and then just leave around the end and catch some Avetts. Although I really wanted to see Babaa Maal and Norah Jones...maybe I need to think about it some more.
I gotta support the Avett Bros every time I can. They really are such a tight, tight show. I know what I am going to get with them. And that is pure awesomeness. But I am bummed about the conflict too. I guess this just gives me a good excuse to go to England.
2/5- Papadosio 3/3- MUSE 3/12- John Mayer 3/19- The Werks 3/31- Passion Pit 4/18- Ben Folds 4/20- Against Me! 6/10- Bonnaroo 6/30- Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey

This is my hardest choice too. I've seen they Avett Brothers about 8 times, and they're my favorite band. They put on one of the best live shows I've ever seen. But I don't know when I'll get to see Mumford and Sons again, and they're album has been on heavy rotation for me lately.
But if you've never seen the Avett Brothers, that's who you should go see.
The M&S album is great. Listening to them a lot, so I will probably see them over Avett Brothers. They have a big sound that will go over very well at Bonnaroo.

i had actually never listened to MS before, until 30 seconds ago, and i instantly loved it. idk now... since i've seen the avett's 8 times (i've actually lost count, it might be more) i might go see MS.
