My two girlfriends and I are coming from long island. Leaving Tuesday afternoon, should take us about 18 hours says mapquest!!! Everyone going to *walaroo* Wednesday night? I hear its the place to be before the fest...totallly pumped, first bon experience!
pssst... I went to Roo for the first time last year, and spent the night in the Walmart parking lot before going in. Honestly, it's just people sitting around in a parking lot drinking and playing cards and stuff. It's ok but I'm sure the party inside Roo is better. I'm going in Wednesday night this year, when they open the gates. Then again, I've got a handicapped tag so I can go directly to Access camping, whereas I assume you don't so you'd be in BFE. I'd still do it if I were you.
I am driving in from Dallas with a friend on Wednesday morning. Mapquest says the drive is about 11 hours, so I am going to guess it will be around 12-13 hours with frequent stops.
Leaving around 7 or 8 in the morning would get an eta of 7-8 at night. That seems like the perfect window for when they start letting people on the farm, so we will probably head straight in from the road.
Thanks to this board, instead of spending Wednesday night at Walmart or a hotel, I will be getting set up where I really want to be. Plus I love the idea of having all Thrusday morning and early afternoon to explore and have fun!
leaving Winnipeg, Manitoba around 10am on the Wednesday, driving to Fargo, North Dakota to catch a flight that leaves at 4:15, catch a connecting flight in Chicago and then arrive in Nashville around 9:30 Wednesday night. It's about $700 cheaper to drive to Fargo and fly out of there instead of flying straight from Winnipeg. It's only about an extra 20 minutes in the air, but I guess that border costs a lot to cross by air...
Should work out better than the past couple of years. First year we bussed. Took 40 something hours. Saw some parts of your fine country that I wish I never knew existed. Managed to arrive in one piece with all of our gear and cash, so that was nice, I guess.
Last year we flew out of Winnipeg. Got our tickets through Expedia, so we didn't have seats reserved. Up here in Canada, a packed flight is a rarity, unless it's a charter, so we didn't really think it would be a big deal. Didn't take into account that we were flying through O'Hare. Of course all the flights for the entire week were overbooked. We left Winnipeg at like 7am and were supposed to arrive in Nashville around 3 or 4 I think. There were 8 of us. One got to Nashville around 6, three of us spent the night in Chicago and caught a red eye to Nashville in the morning somehow and the rest of us ended up flying into Memphis at 1am, renting a car and driving to Nashville. Once we got there, we realized all our bags were locked up at the airport, so we couldn't get clean clothes, which would have been really nice. Got to our disgusting hotel around 4:30 am, scared the shit out of our buddy who made it there earlier and then slept for maybe 3 hours. Wasn't all bad. Got free plane tickets to anywhere in the States. Ended up going to New Orleans for Voodoo Fest/Halloween/Saints vs Falcons on MNF. All in all, it worked out pretty well.
there are about 16- 20 of us leaving from Wilkes-Barre Pa, and it should take 13-15 hours depending on how many stops we have to make. We leave here around 4 on wednesday and get to the Roo in the morning Thursday. Good Times!!!

Huron, Ohio - anyone hear of Cedar Point? It's usually 12-14 hours depending on our stops. This will be my first out of three bonnaroos coming in with two cars.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
coming from Memphis, TN. only 4 hours. it's our first trek to bonnaroo but we couldn't be more excited about the line-up. sorry everyone else. i did not realize that they let people in the camp Wed. night. what time? we were planning on coming down wed night/arriving thurs morning and just getting in line. i know it's random selection for where you are but you can really get in before thurs at noon?
Leaving sometime Wed afternoon around 4 or 5 to hopefully get in by 7-8am Thursday morning. Mapquest lists it as about 12.5 hours so with stops and everything about 14.
Me and 1 other person is going, splitting the driving, Can't wait!

Once upon a time (the first seven Bonnaroos) I just had to walk off my front porch and down Shedd road to get to Bonnaroo... now I have to drive 45 minutes from Nashville. Tough gig I know.
I think we have an 11 hour drive or so from just outside the Milwaukee, WI area. Of us going this year, 3 rooks, and 4th year for the rest of us 7 total.
Coming from Washington, NC to Raleigh Airport~flying to Atl. where a couple of buddies are picking me up and then driving on to Manchester. Not a bad trip at all.
