Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'd say stick to the schedule...I don't expect it will change anything but particularly given this is a new thread some people may not have discovered it yet and want to be involved from the beginning. Also these games serve as a good distraction to pass the time leading up to bonnaroo and if we get into a big hurry with it that purpose is defeated.

The fact that Kanye got more than one vote is disgusting. I thought I knew you people, and then 15 of you go and pick Kanye West over Ben Harper. 3penguins is the only one with an excuse. The rest of you can go to another festival, Bonnaroo is not for you. I'm sure Lady GaGa and Justin Bieber are headlining something together. Even if you don't like Harper's music, as a Bonnaroo loyalist, the choice is clear. Harper has made multiple appearances at the festival (in various formats) and led a Superjam. Kanye showed up massively late, his performance was horrible, he sh!t on the festival, and didn't even play a full set.

Sweet. I thought he was left out of the initial brackets when this was first discussed, and I didn't keep up with the other thread. I'm leaving him as a write-in nonetheless. I don't care what anyone says, to me the finals as White Stripes v. Randolph. Unfortunately, I now see Randolph is in the region of death (aka The Radiohead region).

I can't speak for anyone else, but I approached my votes as for the bigger deal for something or more uniquely Bonnaroo something. Ben Harper plays a lot of festivals and has over the years. He has some great Bonnaroo moments for sure, but the Kanye West moment, even though it's a negative one, is so much more memorable and part of Bonnaroo history now. That's how I approached that one, at least.

I guess that's the problem with all of these 'Band' vs. 'Band' tournaments. Some people vote for their favorite act. Some people vote for the best performances. Some people vote on the impression the artist left. Some vote for Kings of Leon. The lack of a standard leaves the result inherently flawed.
So, I'll say this:
If you voted for Kanye because you like him/his performance at Bonnaroo, then I take issue with you and your family. If you voted for Kanye based on the repressed memories you have of historically awful performance, then I forgive you.
Harper has made multiple appearances at the festival (in various formats) and led a Superjam.
His vocal performance in this is why I voted Kanye. Seriously one of the worst things I've ever heard anyone try to do is when he sang Immigrant Song. Absolutely terrible.
I can't ever forget how Ben Harper RUINED that show. Kanye didn't affect me... I was at Ghostland
And, I also think Ben Harper's own music is terribly unoriginal and just flat out boring.

i voted for kanye because he makes better music than ben harper. ben harper is amazingly talented and i had a blast as his 07 show at roo but give me a kanye cd anyday over a ben harper cd

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
