I was thinking about borrowing my brother's radar detector for the drive to Manchester. Do any of you all have these? How well do they work? And why is Virginia the only state to outlaw them? (Not that I live in VA anymore, I'm just curious.)

In my truck I run a birddog and an active jammer. I got the jammer from Rocky mountain radar, What it does is it puts out an FM "Chirp" on the same frequency as the police radar and causes the cop radar to just say "Screw it" and read 0 mphs. How I use it is when the Radar dectector goes off I am scrambling the cops radar and it gives me time to slow down. Then I just unplug everything as I drive by and watch him pound on his radar unit thinking something is wrong.
Rocky mountain radar will pay your ticket if you get one and the thing does work.
