^ Yup, that's exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
Also, two of my favorites from the Artist quotes page
Andrew WK “One of the most amazing places in the world is a record store called either Liberty Street Recordings or Encore Records. It's located in the great town of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Many of my friends worked there and I spent a lot of time there during high school. One time I went in, and this woman who I think owned the place was listening to Black Sabbath's, "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" very loudly. She was probably the same age as my Mom and looked like a librarian, and after the album side finished she said, "God, I just love what that man's voice does to me."
Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) "Buy real records in real shops, or I'll come round your house and scream at your mother.”
Sucks it's supposed to rain all day here. Last year it was beautiful. I'll prob just go to the most local store and get some more free posters. It falls on my birthday this year.

just found out I'' be getting Saturday off this week. I usually NEVER get Saturdays off. I've gone from grumbling and cursing you all to trying to convince my wife to wait 3+ hrs w/ me in front of Zia's. I missed out last year so I am very stoked for RSD goodness. Hope to at least grap the Lips DSOTM, Waits' Mule Variations and the Modest Mouse reissue.

So it looks like the Wilco box set will be available on Wilco's website/store. That makes me glad in case I can't get one of the 3 copies that the local record store will have. I'll have to rush home and order it right away.

success!
so I just spent around 200 bucks but I'm happy.
Got the Wilco box set, Flaming Lips - DSOTM (only ONE in the whole store), Black Keys 12" single, Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers, MGMT 12" single, and Hendrix Live @ Clark University. Pretty excited to listen to music all day now.

Happy Record Store Day!!
I didn't have my eye on any limited releases or whatever. However, Newbury Comics up here in MA is doing 30% off all used CDs and DVDs, so I was able to add the following titles to my collection for a very tidy price:
Fantômas - The Director's Cut
Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock & Jack DeJohnette - My Foolish Heart: Live at Montreux
Dosh - Wolves and Wishes
Michael Jackson - Bad
Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One
The Knife - Silent Shout
I not too many exciting in-store performances around here. I really wish I had the time/opportunity to venture downtown to the main store on Newbury St. to see Dave Holland and Chris Potter. Oh well.

Happy Record Store Day! Amoeba was insane this morning, like Walmart on Black Friday insane. Scored a couple of nice treasures, but overall not worth the madness.

I was so bummed to be so broke this year on RSD, but I did manage to pick up the Coconut Records and Charlotte Gainsbourg RSD 7" releases. A local (Chicago) band Mr Russia put out a free 7" cover to David Bowie's Boys Keep Swinging for RSD, so I picked that up as well.

Had a great RSD this year. Nabbed ALMOST everything I wanted. Got the Beasties mystery single (which is incredible BTW), both volumes of the Velvet Underground live 1969, The Modest Mouse reissue, the Neko Case Middle Cyclone (on double clear vinyl), and the Tom Waits Mule Variations w/ Jim Jarmusch print. Didn't get the Lips DSOTM (I was 2nd in line and the dude in front of me took BOTH copies grrrrr!), but I just discovered they are selling it at flaminglips.com so I just ordered that today.
hope everybody else got what they were looking for. The e-bay sharks already have tons of this stuff for sale. I hate that.
edit----forgot to say I also snagged the Sonic Youth "Hits are for squares" compilation. I really dig the new track and the sequencing of the comp is great.
