Curious to see the full report. I don't like the idea of them being able to penalize and suspend guys because they went in "Sketchy Person A's" store. Failed test, sure, go for it, but this is looking a lot like the NCAA and their arbitrary, overreaching, rulings.
But f*ck Braun. He shouldn't have gotten cocky about getting off on a technicality. They were going to get him any way they could.

So he deserves to be suspended because he got cocky?
G-ron, is your stance that none of these guys should be suspended because baseball doesn't bring the iron fist down on all the drunks and scumbags of the league, just the roiders?
Not saying I disagree with it, just want to make sure i'm not misreading you.

No, not saying that, but I don't have to feel sorry for him either. But he shouldn't be surprised that MLB is going to do all they can to punish him in some way or another after that incident.

I twice tried posting from work today with a relatively long response but ProBoards was sucking more ass than usual.
Basically I just think it's a joke that MLB is pretending they're seeking to suspend these guys for the good of the game (or whatever you want to call it) when they basically turn the other way when players do actual abhorrent things off the field. Punch your wife IN PUBLIC? Even your team won't suspend you. Get pulled over with a 0.22 BAC? Pitch two days later. Rape a woman and then deny it until DNA evidence proves you're guilty? F*ck it, we don't do anything.
If there's actual, legitimate proof these guys purchased and used illegal drugs, then yeah, suspend them. But I'm afraid it'll be Tony Bosch going "Oh, uh, yeah, I sold them illegal drugs. Yep. Saw them take 'em too. You guys are dropping this lawsuit, right?"
And the vendetta MLB has against Braun is childlike. They fired the independent arbitrator from his case for f*ck's sake. And while I realize it's entirely possible (probable?)that he's taken PED's, the fact that 99% of people seem so sure one way or another is stupid. It's either people blindly defending him or people completely convinced he's been cheating since at least Oct. 2011. No one knows, and honestly I'm not even sure if that many people care. Like, since the Mitchell Report does this really bother people any more?
I honestly like the kid, but I hate that this gives ESPN, MLB Netowrk, etc. an excuse to cover their L.A. bias.
Those networks have an LA bias?
Yeah, I was drunk.
But, in an effort to defend the drunk version of me, any sort of chance a major network has to talk Dodgers/Angels, they'll take. I was in the car last night with MLB Network on, and Greg Amsinger says, "Every baseball fan feels better when the Dodgers are making headlines." Uh, no Greg, not this fan.
Just because the MLB doesn't punish people for certain abhorrent behavior doesn't mean steroid use should be acceptable. Not only does it ruin the balance of what we consider "fair" competition (IMO, of course) - it would also provide an incentive for young ball players all around the world to destroy their bodies in order to compete at a high level.

Maybe he didn't...that's why I'm addressing him............

The Braves beat the Dodgers today, but the real story is the Puig kid. 3-4 on the day, hitting .464 overall and an OPS of 1.447? and that arm from right field. I'm not one who is big into home run numbers but 4 in 7 games, woah. Obviously these numbers won't last but I'm definitely riding jock right now, I hope he has longevity in the league and keeps it going for the Dodgers.
Also let's drool over these two individuals and hope they keep up the work they're doing this season.
Here's something sabermetrics can't replace. The best teams of all time win the most games. The Tigers have the 4th best record in the AL, so....no, they're not.

So were you team Cabrera or team Trout last year?
Cabrera. And RA Dickey in the Cy Young discussion (but I admitted to having an obvious bias there).

They also have the second best run differential in all of baseball (yeah but they don't have the second best record that's why they play the games yada yada). I'm not saying they're an all-time great or anything but anyone who thinks someone like Baltimore or even Oakland is better than Detroit because they've won a couple more games out of 70 is a little bit crazy.
Reports are saying he will be playing with the Triple A team this week and he could be back in the Blue Birds line up by weeks end/beginning of next week. CANT WAIT!!!!!!
