So I am debating seeing my man Ryan Saturday at Sloss Fest then driving to Louisville to see him Sunday at Forecastle. Is this doable? Will my husband divorce me? We shall see.
I've been trying to work out how to make some of the other recently announced dates work. Why are most during the week? That's so difficult for me. And of course his Red Rocks show is the kids first week of school, which I can't miss. Ugh.

We're looking at going to Sloss. Going to check out how much it would cost us to go to OSL too. We're also talking about not going to roo or just going for a day or 2.

Sloss, no. Forecastle, I wouldn't this year. Divorce? If Brad is like Heather, then yes.
Would it be really awesome to go all over the place and see Ryan Adams? Yeah. But how is that even feasible? How much driving would you have to do to pull off Sloss and/or Forecastle. How could you afford to do one or both of those, plus Newport the following weekend, plus anything else you can think of. It just seems like a lot of investment and effort for little return.
There's a lot of people on Inforoo who seriously need to cut back on their show/festival spending. I have no idea how people can afford it. Music and travel are enjoyable hobbies to have, but not worth going in debt over. I almost made that mistake four years ago, and Heather had to save my stupid ass from going over the brink.

Shit.....I hadn't cracked it open until now and while the box set is glorious I just realized I got two Disc 4's in my package. Need to contact Amazon support. Lame.

That sucks! Mine was fine from Amazon but they have great customer support so they shouldn't give you any hassle. Especially since it was the manufactor's fault.
Really excited to see Ryan tomorrow. I was going to try for the Central Park show Wednesday, but I think it will be too difficult to pull off with work. So twice in 6 days will just have to do.
So I just listened to an NPR podcast of Ryan's set at Newport. Dammit, I need to see him. Either at Roo next year or (even better) at Pilgrimage this fall.
