Picking is a little rough, but for me it honestly depends on the schedule. If I'm feeling well early or late in the day then some of the bands on the bottom part of the list would be higher than if the bands at the top of the list were playing when I'm not feeling well. Any vet understands that!
I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.

I've compiled the data so far. My system was 10 points for 1 ranking, 9 for 2, and so on down to 1 point for a 10 ranking. Anything past 10 or honorable mentions I did not include in the rankings. People that didn't assign ranks or said "no order" I assigned 5 points per each. In the case of ties, I gave each artist the same points for the rank.

Alas, I can't go this year. But I will have to say that most of these acts I can catch elsewhere. But nothing will ever take the place of Roo.
1. Stevie Wonder 2. Jeff Beck 3. Jimmy Cliff 4. Jay Z 5. Galactic 6. Kris Kristoferson 7. MMW 8. Damian Marley and Nas 9. The Flaming Lips 10. Trombone Shorty 11. GWAR 12. John Fogerty 13. John Prine 14. The Dead Weather 15. The Melvins
i thank you tremendously jesmith for adding all that up because i know i would have broken down and added it all up myself eventually but you've saved me the time. i'm not surprised by the top four, but number 5 is pretty interesting. the rest of the top 20 make sense. its good (and bad i suppose) to see that the acts i am most excited to see are going to be must see shows for y'all as well. but that does mean we'll have some crowded sets to fight over space for! and probably a lot of tough conflicts

Haha are you seriously asking who likes the Flaming Lips?
They've played Coachella, Roo, Pitchfork, Wakarusa... they have hipster and hippie fans. They pretty much appeal to everybody. Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi are classics, Embryonic is a daunting double album that has amazing dark elements and krautrock freak outs, their older stuff is great garage rock.
