Total Access sounds lame. Sure, it looks awesome, but how about the fact that it seems like you aren't experiencing the real bonnaroo. I don't know, I'm second guessing my trip to the farm this year.
i heard, from a friend who worked on stocking the buses/cleaning the trails, that it costs 30-50K for 8 people. worth it? i dunno if i would even if i had the money, although being on the side of the stage would be pretty cool, as would the chauffeur.
I had to see how much this was- this was part of the response:
**************************************************** Each TOTAL ACCESS bus is priced at $18,500 all inclusive of taxes and fees and can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. That's 8 people at $2350 per person which includes everything you see on our website. Each bus must be paid in full upon reservation. We accept most major credit card's and the charges may be split between multiple credit cards.
I could do 2350 if I saved really hard and went without a few meals. Problem is, I don't have 8 friends who could do the same. Hah. Oh well, I likes my tent.

5 buddies and me are renting an RV. We calculated around $350 per person to rent the RV (including gas); plus the $250 ticket plus maybe $200 a person for supplies, plus maybe $100 that you'll spend on the farm adds up to $900 give or take.
I personally think this total access bit takes away from the bonnaroo experience, but if you can do it and don't want to get super dirty/walk a lot/deal with people then it's not too bad. Just being back stage for the shows is totally awesome, even though I just love being part of the crowd as well. It's got it's pros and cons, but not too bad of a deal if you've got the money
they pick this of all years to introduce this? give me a break.
They had it last year also. My husband was working Roo and he said there were lots of them backstage, that were not band buses, so someone forked out the cash to do it.
Gotta say, I'd do it. If it was at all possible to assemble a crew, i'd figure it out. I've done bonnaroo 5 years and this would be the final frontier, outside of performing, which - lucky for all of you - will never happen. There are a ton of different ways to experience bonnaroo - and in 5 years, I've done vip - non-vip and hotel. This one would be mind blowing in a completely different way.
There are several different higher end packages that have been available for several years. They just don't get advertised with the regular GA and VIP tickets (prolly cause most people wouldn't want to spend the cash on it).
As has already been stated these programs have been available before but this is the first time I have seen them really advertise it. Like any of the available upgrades above the standard GA camping this is only aimed at people who can afford it and really want the extra luxuries. If you can't afford it or don't want the extra luxuries this does not mean much to you.

That would be pretty sweet, but I couldn't imagine spendnig the cash on it. And it wouldn't be like you actually attended Bonnaroo if you're not dirty.
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good
In my opinion the total access all inclusive Bonnaroo experience would be worth $2350. It would give me a completely different view of the festival and I am sure would be a great time. If I could line up 7 others who could afford this package I would sign up today but unfortunately I only know 2-3 others who could afford it and would be willing to buy in.
I am my sure some of my group, which includes JustSoYouKnow, would be down with splitting the Total Access package with others to create the Inforoo Total Access 2011 party bus!
