i'm not familiar with their earliest stuff.....but the earlier you go (from what i've seen) the grungier and more raw the sound is. i fell in love with the band because of the album "Magic Potion". That's a good one. I like rubber factory too.
Their big hit though, is "Attack and Release" and was produced by Danger Mouse (of Dangerdoom and Gnarls Barkley). It let them work in a nice studio with a producer who challenged them in different ways.

i am actually enjoying this slow steady leak..
But im disappointed.. all day i was reading the COS twitter feed.. and the myspace release is actually behind them.. . ive know about the black keys and they might be giants all day .. how is COS ahead of them?

bcause a lot of the artists have released via myspace or twitter or otherwise, and cos is keepin gup with all that while the roo myspace is just a steady stream of "official" releases from roo itself

Stevie Wonder, Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Thievery Corp., Allison Krauss, Mew, Isis, Black Keys, The National, Avett Bros., Clutch, Dave Rawlings Machine, Dead Weather, Plus Jeff Beck, Flaming Lips DSOTM, DMB, John Fogerty with Bonnaroo set times, atmosphere, colabs and music until the sun is up - not a better fest out there, plus something else great will be announced for sure, really excited
