i'm not familiar with their earliest stuff.....but the earlier you go (from what i've seen) the grungier and more raw the sound is. i fell in love with the band because of the album "Magic Potion". That's a good one. I like rubber factory too.
Their big hit though, is "Attack and Release" and was produced by Danger Mouse (of Dangerdoom and Gnarls Barkley). It let them work in a nice studio with a producer who challenged them in different ways.
They are awesome.
What is "Modern Times"? "Strange Times" I like
i was getting it mixed up with other stuff. at work and flipping through tabs on my browser lol. i tried to edit it fast enough but you caught me

i am actually enjoying this slow steady leak..
But im disappointed.. all day i was reading the COS twitter feed.. and the myspace release is actually behind them.. . ive know about the black keys and they might be giants all day .. how is COS ahead of them?

bcause a lot of the artists have released via myspace or twitter or otherwise, and cos is keepin gup with all that while the roo myspace is just a steady stream of "official" releases from roo itself

Does anyone know when the lineup will be complete? I should really grab the bus before I am trapped in by the snow but I dont want to leave my comp.....
I'm digging this lineup. Pretty diverse, some bands I need to listen to, and most importantly, I suspect fewer conflicts this year. There were just too many in 2009. Friggin Mars Volta vs Wilco vs Decemberists vs. Elvis Costello. That sucked!

AHHH thanks!! i enjoy the cute little myspace clock thing.. but get disappointed when i already know! looks like im sticking with COS.. this roo lineup is awesome.. i am anticipating so many conflicts!
I'm starting to worry...I mean...how many bands are they gonna announce? And I'm feeling mighty underwhelmed. So far, no one on the lineup that I can't see somewhere else for less $$, and nothing that is like, "OMGZ MUST BE IN TENNESSEE NOW!"
