Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I've counted around 40 acts that I would like to see, and there are quite a few i've never heard before, so that number will increase. I'd say that's a good deal.
does anyone else feel like this is similar to langerado's announcment from the year they cancel? I mean there are a lot of bands that I am very excited to see but i'm just upset bonnaroo would lead us on like that and have those as the headliners....i mean dave is number 1 and kol is number 2? praying for additions....

Great lineup from my point of view.
KOL- Loved em since the ol' days Stevie Wonder-.... Superstition is the greatest song ever written Tenacious D- Explosivo! Weezer- Great Dead Weather- Rocks my bawls off The Black Keys- Another Bawl rocking band
The bottom line is, When, in the history of Bonnaroo, have you seen every act you wanted to? I see plenty of great bands and singers to fill a few days. Plus, Kris Kristoffesron was Blades mentor.
As a sliver lining, the less must-see groups there are for me, the more I'm free to just kick back and enjoy Bonnaroo without having to stress about getting in the front row or scheduling conflicts. And there are a lot of groups in the line up I haven't heard of that I could end up really digging between now and June.
for sure.
I'm reading through a lot of great commentary here these last many pages. Some grizzled Roo vets seem deeply disappointed; other (admitted) comparative newcomers remain charmingly optomistic.
I think the only way we're gonna truly "process" today, in a way that makes sense to all of us, is to ask....
Man I think this is a great lineup! Im so glad Superfly is getting rid of this jam band mentality... These poor kids that want 2003 to come back, go to the other fifty hippie fests. True, last years lineup was 50 times better. True this is pretty much taking last years second tier lineup and making them mainstage, but whatever. Smoke up and drink up, have fun and be merry... it'll be fun! Im sure Widespread Panic and String Cheese Incident will be fine... Only problem is I hate Jay-Z, seeing him live you might as well just put the CD on in your car and recite the lyrics yourself.
I will be playing on Shakedown st. from 11-3pm on Friday night... I have a trio of a one string guitar, two pots and I sing... Mostly mid 80's billy joel, but we can take requests from his early stuff as well. (Be warned it might be half songs) hope this influences you cool cats to come to bonnaroo this year. I think you can insert my band before the national and behind she and him... well try our best!
this lineup has some good stuff but overall it blows! plain and simple Bonnaroo started as a gathering of musicians to JAM....so to lack the "jam band mentality" is the Roo's version of jumping the shark (if you youngsters even know what that means) see ya at wakarusa - the new bonnaroo
wakarusa lineup is like the same band playing for three days....
But it's a really freakin' good band.
I'm not even disagreeing with you, I don't know, variety is important. I love that there are some bands on this lineup that I've never heard of. I love stumbling into a tent after too much alcohol and corn and having my socks blown off by a band I've never even heard of, especially in a genre that I don't typically frequent. I like a lineup that goes from country to metal all the way back to techno.
Airline- Good call on Stevie Wonder. If we can make it this year, I'm excited to see him.
I'm disappointed with DMB and KOL as the headliners but there are a lot on the undercard I want to see. Along with another headliner, I'm really hoping Arcade Fire will be a later addition.
<--- Long time lurker, but couldn't take it anymore and have to post.
I've been thinking about this all evening (like everybody here) and this is why I'm so upset:
AC/SF picked the WORST way to release this lineup. I kinda feel duped and slightly embarrassed right now. I bought my tickets right at 12 today expecting something huge.
For weeks/months we have been reading rumors of something BIG. AC/SF did nothing to squash these rumors. U2, Rolling Stones, The Who, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Sir Paul.
Instead they fueled the rumors by delaying the announcement, those stupid djjd clues and twitter rumors, and then revealing them in the clusterfvck manner making anticipation go through the roof.
Of course that was smart BUSINESS by AC/SF. If you don't have the goods, its in your best interest to build anticipation to a fever pitch and sell as much as possible before you show what you have.
More than anything it made me realize that this is nothing more than a big business, and that makes me a little sad tonight.
The real head scratchers for me are Furthur, String Cheese, and MMJ. All are touring in some capacity and are the type of acts destined for Bonnaroo.
I just knew we would get at least 2 of those 3. That's what really shocked me. Of course they may be added later, but now I am scrambling to make plans to see all three in case they aren't added.
I still don't understand how MMJ is not on this lineup. They are basically Bonnaroo's sons, they're from the general area, and they will be touring around the time. What possible reasons are there for them to not be on the farm?
Perhaps if they started their own clothing line selling beard scrunchies for $300?

So, this line-up is majorly disappointing. like three or four acts I'd want to see, maybe. but what I'm kinda angry about is the billing. There is not a chance in freaking heck that Kings of Leon will be a headliner, right?
If Kings of Leon is a headliner, billed higher than Stevie Wonder, the people running roo do not deserve my money.
Why is a fictitious person on the line up? And he's pretty centered in the line up too. I'm calling bullshit on this and saying this is a clue of some sort. This is some of what his profile says:
------------------------------- Who is Gary Chardonnay?
Gary has been desribed as the love child of Jay-Z, Michael Mcdonald, Arcade Fire, Paula Abdul (Pre-1989) and Daft Punk -------------------------------
Now there's some other "bio" bs but this is what i want to focus on. This obviously not a real person and im thinking that this is a serious clue of whats to come. Daft Punk? Arcade Fire? Paula Abdul???!!!
Seriously though...this is something that needs to be watched.

Any Chance we Get Ben Harper, Ben Folds or O.A.R. added i think that would really bolster the lineup. They've all played Bonnaroo multiple times. I dont think Ben Harpers missed one.
but the "book a band" can only be someone who plays to no more than 500 people steadily. i know ok go pulls in more than 500 people per performance. so why would you put that place holder there?
