I was thinking more that they'd be doing two sets - a Black Keys set, and a Blakroc set. Therefore, two acts from the same clue. One is "rocking" (the Black Keys), while both are "lockin'" (keys lock doors, and "locking" could be from "popping and locking" which is often associated with hip-hop, like Blakroc would be).
I originally was thinking a Black Keys set and a Dan Auerbach set.
one is rocking = dan auerbach and his solo effort
two are locking = both black keys
dunno. I think Black Keys will be there tho. It's been a few years and they've blown up in terms of popularity

For what it's worth....we've never had a clue for two acts unless those two acts were playing together. Last year we did have one that mentioned two acts, but the clue was given to us as "clue 17 and 18" so that's a bit different.
I don't know if I actually think that means these two acts are playing together, but the past record would seem to imply that I suppose. Although I like itrainmonkeys's idea of two related acts too.
Why do I keep seeing Jay Z show up in these threads...isn't he 100% confirmed to be in Europe that weekend for another festival?
Alot of speculation/confirmation in the headliners thread. I am sure with the money Roo will pay him he can hop a private jet. He would be +6 hours on us too I believe.

If this should be referring to two seperate artists then it wouldn't be surprising if one of them wasn't exactly clue-calibur on their own in which case I might suggest Tone Loc...of course this apparently was going to be a difficult one so I mostly am just tossing that idea out there for our shared amusement.

The Z is probably just to mess with us but could also I suppose be steering back towards the Lez Zeppelin rationale in clue 2 that guitarman was rollin' with before. Also is the orange thing like a terror index rating to indicate we are getting closer on something?

klondike its not out of the question.
lets say is set ends at mindnight at IoW. that makes its 6 PM Bonnaroo time Friday night.
lets say it takes him 3 hours for him to get to his private jet at whatever airfield near IoW, its now 9 PM Friday night Bonnaroo time.
and now lets say its an 8 hour flight, hes landing in Nashville(or a closer airfield is possible as well) so its now. 5 AM Sat morning at Bonnaroo.
Even if its Nashville this give him time to got to a hotel by 6:30 AM and rest up. thats plenty of time to get to the farm for what would prob be a set starting at 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM.

i was thinking maybe look into the song. i dont see any way REM fits with the clue.
Oh, life is bigger It's bigger than you And you are not me The lengths that I will go to The distance in your eyes Oh no, I've said too much I set it up
(chorus) That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight, I'm Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh no, I've said too much I haven't said enough I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try
Every whisper Of every waking hour I'm Choosing my confessions Trying to keep an eye on you Like a hurt lost and blinded fool, fool Oh no, I've said too much I set it up Consider this Consider this The hint of the century Consider this The slip that brought me To my knees failed What if all these fantasies Come flailing around Now I've said too much I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream That was just a dream
(repeat chorus)
But that was just a dream Try, cry, why try? That was just a dream Just a dream, just a dream Dream
