I have seen them twice at Ozzfest and another time for Pledge of Allegiance tour and they killed it all 3 times. I can't say enough about the energy and fun they bring to a show.

I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.

???
Ozzfest = 2 times Pledge of Allegiance = 1 time
2+1 = 3 from what I have learned!
Congrats on your 1,000

I agree they were horrible last time I saw them. Im pretty sure more of the set was spent preaching then playing music. I dont need to be told how I should support big corporations. Im there to listen to music. Thank God I didnt pay for that ticket because I probably wouldve left

^^^ Hard to believe we saw the same band, when I saw them on Randall's Island in 2006 they did not speak at all and just rocked one of the greatest most fun and energetic sets I have ever attended

I didn't hear them talk at all really either. They just let the music do the talking.

Saw them back at the Summer Sanitarium tour (Back around the early part of 2000 or so) and they were ok but then again, they had just really started making a name for themselves.

I went and saw that tour that year as well. It was one of the most unique Metallica sets I have ever seen as James Hetfield was hurt and didn't perform. Kid Rock, Johnathan Davis from Korn, Serj from SOAD, and Jason Newstead of Metallica all took turns on lead vocals the whole show. On top of all that Metallica came back several months later and played a free show to make up for it. Good times. I will agree SOAD wasn't even close to their peek at the time.

That wouldbe an awesome show. I'd rather see that then the real metallica

It was so cool to see the other acts cover Metallica songs and then, to top it off, a free ticket to Rupp Arena to see Metallica (Btw, it was Jason Newsteads last show with the band)

terrible live show, and the mars volta HATED touring with them, they (TMV) got pissed off with the fans at the pensacola show on that tour and did improv almost half of their set
but i'm not a big soad fan, so i was biased about their show
