^^'tis true, but we haven't had any substantial rain here in east TN in almost a month (if not more), so i'm scared that it'll decide to rain right as roo starts... we'll find out soon enough, only one more week!!!
no substantial rain here in west tn, either. looks like the whole state is pretty dry.

has 'roo ever been during a drought (dunno if you'd call right now a drought or not)? would that cause any restrictions on water or anything? hopefully it rains before 'roo, or during I won't complain, it might be unsafe if it is incredibly dry we wouldnt want any bad fires or anything
that accuweather forecast is bunk, i tell ya. it's changed every day, from raining all 4 days to sunny all four days. weather.com seems to be right up the middle right now.

Yeah, the weather.com forecast now has it partly cloudy for the 14-15th, with scattered thunderstorms on Saturday...a little rain leading up to the event, too. This crystal ball stuff is maddening.
EDIT: The accuweather one is far preferable, of course...let's hope it stays that way.
The humidity is steadily climbing in spite of the drought. The last couple days have been oppressive (92 and humid at my house). I think it's still a little less humid than normal but it's still bad and getting worse. Those 20% rain chances every day point to high humidity for Roo.
Updated Intellicast forecast. Looking more bleak than the update from a couple of days ago. If we can get a similar situation to last year, when the rain did not really come until late Sunday, that would be ideal.
Wednesday 13 Jun 2007 Isolated Thunderstorms High:89° Low:66° Partly cloudy with a stray thunderstorm. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 60s.
Thursday Partly Cloudy High:90° Low:66° Thursday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the low 90s and lows in the mid 60s.
Friday Partly Cloudy High:90° Low: 67° Friday: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 90s and lows in the upper 60s.

So pretty much plan on rain....but if it does it shouldn't be horrible, whats going to kill us is the scorching heat and humidity, everyone bring tons of water, they still haven't gotten the autopsy back on the kid that died at Hookahville but they think it could have been heat and dehydration related.
What about dust storms...since TN is in such a drought?
Nobody was ever worse off because they learned something new.
Wasn't tryin' to come off ungrateful. Just sayin' I'd rather have the forcast that I posted than have a 20 min. storm every few hours throughout the entire weekend.
