Hmm, so no change in the predicted temperature from June 12 - 13...
however June 12th now says it will be 94 but feel like 104!!!!
that's what weather guy was saying here last night. he did his little 2 week prediction and said that it was going to get really hot by that wednesday just before bonnaroo. i just shook my head and hoped it won't prove true. i don't want a repeat of '02 (the hottest of all the roos). that hot mess kept me tired as hell the whole weekend.

'02 was brutal. It was worse because we didn't know everything we know now, we had no shade at all, I thought I was gonna melt.
me and you both. i came so ill-prepared it wasn't even funny, it was terrible, and still the best single weekend that these 23 years have ever seen. you should see my campsite now... all my friends think that i go ridiculously overboard with my supplies, but i've weathered the storm once and never ever again.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
15 days out is waaayyyy too far out to actually predict anything. Might as well be reading a Farmer's Almanac. I'll check back when it's 10 days or less away.
Thursday is starting to look good. Rain on Wednesday and then a cooloff on Thursday. A couple degrees at least. This would be ideal. Let's hope it stays this way.

Okay, so for you folks watching this change daily...
June 12 - High of 92 and low of 69. Raining at night June 13 - High of 89 and low of 67. Thunderstorms and rain June 14 - High of 87 and low of 66. Cloudy all day
I am kinda worried because a lot of time the rain is pushed back a day or two but that might be more of the usual here. If it stays like that though it will be a little cooler after it rains...cross your fingers
This may not be the right thread, but whatever...if it does rain on Thursday and we have to set up our tent in the rain, what is the best way to ensure no water gets between the tent and the tarp underneath? I'm sure it will get wet then defeat the entire purpose of having a tarp underneath!

I've done that a bunch of times back in Scouts. My only suggestion is to put it down as quick as possible - one person does the tarp, one person does the tent. A little water on the tarp is ok - what you're trying to prevent is soak-through from the ground. The tent floor will be wet for a bit, but it will dry out in time as it wicks the moisture away from the tarp.

if it does rain, at least i have a huge cargo van w/ all the seats taken out to myself. i'm bringing a tent also, but i'll be putting the air mattress and battery operated fans in the van for a nice sound barrier sleeping place.

I've heard others say that it has rained at some point, every year so my money is that it will rain, especially since it's been dry as a bone lately. On the lighter side, you can't get bouncy mud without a decent downpour. If it does rain, Spooky should add neked mud wrasslin as a landmark.
