i think Kings Of Leon being a preheadliner is a big possibility.
Disco Biscuits and/or STS9 late night seems like a big possibility also. (i'll take both)
Shpongle just needs to come. period. Bassnectar is also long overdue
I sense a big electronic artist coming too. What or which stage. Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, or Justice, i'd say.
And considering none of the Marleys played 2009, i think we'll see one or two in 2010, but i'd settle for Matisyahu
I agree with this entire post, I would hope for umphrey's over the disco biscuits though. I also hope that if matisyahu is there than les claypool is there and they do some colaborations
KOL isnt going to pre-headline. The next time they are at bonnaroo they will be a HEADLINER. Friday night im guessing
\
Really? I can't imagine this at all. Maybe I'm in a bubble here or something but I think they're barely big enough to pre-headline. And, in my opinion, if Nine Inch Nails were not big enough to headline Bonnaroo, KOL has no chance

My Guess for the first part of the lineup, I have no clue on the middle or lower tier bands.
U2 Phish Jay Z Daft Punk Muse Allman Brothers Band The Arcade Fire
Thats all I got so far, Im also guessing that STS9 or Disco Biscuits return for a late night and possibly Gogol Bordello.
As for Phish returning again I know thats a bit iffy, but I think they would be perfect to close it out on Sunday Night again and lets be honest there are not really that many headliner worthy jam acts out there if they want to keep with that theme for Sunday since its unknown if The Dead will even be touring next summer.

KOL is actually quite huge right now, selling out arenas and such. But if they were on the bill I would guess it would be on Which Stage Friday Night while the headliner plays like they did with Beastie Boys/Byrne this year.
KOL wont be there this year. They are gonna take a HUGE break after ACL. I did a lot of research about who would be supporting album and the first post pretty well represents that.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Not that I'm downing this thread or anything, but this seems a little premature given that we don't really know who will be releasing albums/on tour around Bonnaroo next year... I know sometimes that doesn't matter with the headliners, as they'll build a tour around a Bonnaroo headlining spot, but alas... It just seems hard to even come remotely close to realistically guessing about lineups 9 months away from a festival

The headlined glastonbury. They are HUGE. They wont be at roo this year. Next time they are i dont thinkits as apre. And they are bigger than NIN now. easy.
^^so did the Arctic Monkeys though, and there's no way in hell they could headline Roo. Kings of Leon would get great billing, that's for sure, but they are not even in the same stratosphere of superstardom as Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Tool, Radiohead... and I'm going to disagree with you and put Nine Inch Nails in that last category as well.

KOL are from down the road in MT Juliet. They have played Roo multiple times unlike NIN. Last time they played (07) it was at the WHAT. They wouldnt come back and play a WHICH show. ESP late night. When they come back i believe they will have their own night.
While details remain a bit sketchy, as Billboard reports and this teaser trailer confirms, The Black Keys have teamed up with hip-hop heavyweights Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Raekwon, Ludacris, Pharoahe Monch, NOE, Nicole Wray, Billy Danze, and, somehow, the late Ol’ Dirty Love Child for a brand new project called Blakroc.
The collaboration reportedly got underway in early summer in Brooklyn, N.Y and will come to fruition on November 27th when Blackroc releases a yet-to-be-titled album. According to Donewaiting, The Black Keys served as producers of the effort, which will consist of 11 tracks and be released on a label started by Dame Dash and The Black Keys management.
if this band got added. this would be open up an array of hip hop artists

not to be a debbie downer but i cant imagine a worst top three than U2 RHCP and KOL
and i actually music from each of those artists, but they really do not appeal to me as huge draws to the fest. even if they are, im sure the undercard would be stacked but i would like to have atleast one headliner to get truly excited for.

This has occurred to me for a while, looking at the predictions in this thread and others. But for us bonna-fanatics what better to do is there than make wild guesses at who could possibly play? Like the original posters said, it would be fun to look back and see who actually was able to make accurate guesses this early in the game. But yes, it is pretty premature. Around December or Jan we should be able to make much more accurate predictions

My guess is
Paul Mccartney (he's doing a big 2010 world tour) Dave Matthews Band Rage Against the Machine opposed headliner partially overlapping Jay Z Jay Z opposed headliner Daft Punk Late night Muse latenight Tom Waits late or pre headliner Incubus Pre headliner Arcade Fire Pre Headliner Allman Brothers Band Pre Headliner Them Crooked Vultures Black Keys or Black Rok new album Ghostland Observatory latenight or preheadliner STS9 latenight Thievery Corporation Ryan Adams and the Cardinals Sufjan Stevens Monsters of Folk George Clinton and P-Funk Bassnectar Xavier Rudd Shpongle Blitzen Trapper Portugal the Man Cage the Elephant Fleet Foxes Down Yonder Mountain String Band Built to Spill Cake the swell season Owl City
I'll add more when I think of it but I think thats the basic for the higher billed acts.
If KOL ever headline roo I will not be at that years roo.
I feel sorry for you that one headliner would keep you away from the awesomeness that is roo...
I didn't like metallica headlining AT ALL in 08...
Do i regret buying my ticket, or using that time slot to hang out, meet people, go shopping and heading to mstrkrft early to get right up front in the middle???... i'll let you answer that one... edit** the only thing i regret is not being told how awesome disco biscuits are and not sticking around for them after mstrkrft!!! :[

Awesome wishlist, but not so realistic. Primarily, Tom Waits will NEVER appear at Bonnaroo. No matter how much we may want it, it'll never, ever happen.

Holy cow Pavement is back! YESSSSS! (insert mighty ducks high five)
The only show planned is next september, but i've already heard they are gonna be starting a world tour in Australia early next year. Coachella seems most obvious, but Malkmus has played Bonnaroo too.
edit: Tom Waits will play Bonnaroo around the same time Bowie plays Coachella. Probably never.

Absolutely no Rolling Stones, they are nothing but a cover band of themselves. As the main headliner We need either Cream, Roger Waters, David Gilmore or David Bowie.
late night sets by Body Count and Oysterhead would also be nice, just to name a few
