If i had to bet this years lineup will be exactly like 08 except the kanye spot will be on the which stage.
Jay Z (Pearl Jam) KOL (Metallica) DMB (WSP) Stevie (Jack Johnson)
with 2 late night which shows this year.
yeah that makes so much sense. put stevie on around 8 or so, jayz following around 10 maybe 11. jayz cant play for 3 hours, so wouldnt make much sense to have him start around 9. i'd imagine both jayz and stevie would play somewhere around 2, 2.5 hours.

Jay-Z certainly can play, and has played, for 3 hours. And lots of headliners have started around 9 and only gone for 2-2.5 hours: See: Young, Neil; Police, The; Tool; Petty, Tom; et al.
Examples?
I just haven't really looked into reading the reviews to his shows, but I know that the MSG show was almost exactly two hours long.

He's certainly not my favorite rapper, but if he were to play for 2.5 hours with the stage design he had for MSG, then I'd be pretty excited to see him.

I think the Normandy/soldier/click click clue relates to Gorillaz. As I said in the Clues General thread: Normandy is a beach. "Little soldiers" are the plastic soldiers that go "click click" as you moved them across a table as a kid. Their album is named Plastic Beach.
I could be totally wrong, but Normandy and Beach are strongly linked, as is the idea of a "little soldier" being a toy made of plastic.

i do not think im going to make it this year regardless of lineup, but people saying "oh thats no good" to most of these lineups are crazy. id kill to go to a festival with a lot of these lineups, and i know i would be missing out on a lot if i didnt. I think some people forget that one act playing during the weekend is definitely not going to ruin it for you, but just one act playing during the weekend can and has made the entire experience for a lot of people, myself included.
