Well I am 32 as of 20 minutes ago. I am borrowing my Dads Suburban for my adventures, all it has is a CD player. It is kind of cool though, you listen to whole albums when you have CDs. That being said what are you listening to on your newfangled I-box thingy?

last year during the whole 4ish hour wait in line to get on the farm i listened to nothing but Operation Ivy and punk of the like. my friends ipods, crazy into punk. which is funny because its definitely one the genres of music i know the least about, and there was very little punk on the farm last year. hopefully that doesnt repeat, i like punk and all but i could go for something a bit more mellow while sitting there for so long doing nothing.

Today's a good day to be a birthday. Crunchies to ya'.
I'm driving through the night so I'll mostly be listening to the crazies call into Coast to Coast AM mixed with a little Phish Camden 09, Akron/Family, Zakir Hussein, and Andrew Bird.
Well one more burn before I go to bed I am doing Grateful Dead Shakedown, and Terrapin Station. However I had to delete KSM, and Dancing to make it fit on one cd.
If anyone is in Asheville Tommorrow PM me and I will give you my cell if you want to meet up, I will check it before I leave in the morning.

Happy birthday Jess!
I'm flying down so I'm loading up my ipod with Andrew Bird, Jenny Lewis (and Rilo Kiley), Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, and Band of Horses. And it's already full of Decemberists...there's some Springsteen on there...and tons of other non-Roo artists. But I'm hoping I can use the time on the plane to familiarize myself with a few of the Roo artists.

Since I'm driving during the day I'm listening to Iron and Wine, Smashing Pumpkins, Flogging Molly, Girl Talk, and of course Sneaker Pimps. With a particular friend in the car we will be definitely be listening to Madonna as well. haha
I've long felt that it was bad karma to listen to artists on the day of a show (or, for a festival, over the trip). Bad things have happened in the past. Anyways, I'm waiting for my 2009 non-Roo artist playlist to load and we have a couple of audio books and cds with us, too.

i loaded my ipod with a lot of the artists at roo, plus some marley, and many cd's. will be good times, nothing like driving 10 hours blasting music to the largest party ill be at this year
I'm going to make some mix CD's to introduce various 'Roo artists to my friends. Off the top of my head: -Portugal. The Man -Passion Pit -Tobacco -Kaki King -Animal Collective -Santigold -of Montreal
I can also predict that 311, MGMT, RHCP, Pearl Jam, and Dave will be in heavy rotation. I'll be putting my ipod to use whenever my friends need their Dave fix.
Will be listening to mainly Roo on the way down. Pretty much zero roo music the way up. May have to settle on some common ground with the guy I'm going with. I'm sure some Dylan might manage to make its way into the airwaves at some point too =D
Garth Algar: Do you ever get the feeling Benjamin's just using us?
Wayne Campbell: Good call. It's like he wants us to be liked by everyone. I mean Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes everybody liked. They left that to the Bee Gees.

We never listen to the bands we are about to see at the concert (bad luck), I loaded a bunch of movies onto the ipod and we listen to them in the car to make time fly.
so far this year Casablanca The Dark Crystal Monty Python Life of Brian The Big Lebowski (as i will not see it in the cinema tent) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Lets see..between my friends and I...we will have a good assortment. My guesses are Allman Bros Band, Clutch, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams (Jr. and Hank III), Tool, Snoop, Zeppelin, Outkast, Hendrix...plus I'll have my ipod (w/ headphones) on hand just in case
Well bad luck or no, I'm going to be listening to some of the Roo bands on the way down, otherwise I'll never know to go to some of their shows because I haven't heard them before at all. MofroHead was nice enough to burn me some good albums!
I am in that minority too melissa but didn't know I was a minority
I have burnt the following About 6 Phish CD's studio & live Relentless7 Wilco ( wish I had bootleg of The Album) MMJ of course Bon Iver Andrew Bird Erykah Badu Alberta Cross MGMT The Knux

We're just bringing my Zune. My boyfriend has a playlist loaded with Phish, Panic, Gmule, Tom Petty, Built to Spill, moe., some Oakenfold & D.j. Z Tripp, The Beastie Boys, and a few road trip songs that are classic to sing out loud horribly to, like Foghat's Slow Ride & Bob Segar's Turn the Page.
