I have nothing substantial to add to this thread, unfortunately. Got a shiny new job so hopefully when I get paid I'll make my way to Atlanta to get some shiny new records. Here's a picture I took the other day of this stack of dusty old 45's.
I recently picked up the London Howlin' Wolf Sessions. This album will make any blues lover drool!!!
1971 Chess Records release with Howlin' Wolf playing with Clapton, Winwood, Watts and Wyman. Not to mention Klauss Voorman and Ringo Starr sitting in on 2 tracks.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
Bon Iver - Bon Iver Tune-Yards - Whokill Band of Horses - Everything All the Time Duchess Says - in a Fung Day T! (I don't think this one is available in the US just yet but it will be soon. This is actually one of my favorite albums of the year)

Put in my pre-orders for Record Store Day: Black Friday. I didn't really want to go to the store I'm going to buy from but the regualr store I go to closed down and never reopened.
I'm trying to save some money so I'm only getting the Black Keys, Umphrey's, and Dr. Dog releases. Thought about Wilco but I bet they have theirs on sale long after Black Friday.

I missed out on my local store closing out tons of records for $1 last saturday when I went to Fun Fun Fun Fest. One of my friends got 16 records for me. I haven't been buying much, but these are my most recent additions with my friends pics. My newest additions are mostly the bottom row.
I need to put together a list of what I need to get next.

Haven't bought any vinyl in months. Have a few records coming in the mail, and expect a nice haul for Christmas. Pretty excited, now I just gotta get a new belt for my player so I can actually listen to these damn things again...
Going through the Tom Waits discography with my brothers. We just got Blood Money the other day. Literally can't stop listening to 'God's Away On Business'.

What did everyone get for Christmas? I got 3 records from family and then bought like 6 or 7 new ones with Christmas money lol, not all of them have come in yet but when they're all here I'll post pics
Records were pretty much all I asked for for Christmas, and got a ludicrous amount. They're all releases from last year or this year (with the exception of Before The Dawn Heals Us), including Jonsi, Deerhunter, Dr. Dog, The Black Keys, M83, Real Estate, The War On Drugs, Woods, Toro Y Moi among others. I'll post some pics when I can.
