I made some solid scores at Solid Sound this weekend - amazing selection at the pop-up Euclid Records store there:
*Robert Johnson - The Complete Recordings *Patti Smith - Horses *The Beatles - Revolver *Joy Division - Closer *Television - Marquee Moon (been looking for this album on vinyl for over a year now!) *Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band - Shiny Beast (I did not pick this up, somehow it ended up in my record pile and I didn't realize until after I'd bought it. I've never listened to Captain Beefheart before, so I'll consider this a sign that maybe I should start) *Wilco - I Might b/w I Love My Label (7" clear vinyl)
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Is Watch the Throne going to be released on vinyl?
Not according to the pre-orders. But I would expect to see one released. Not a big deal to me at this point, based on H.A.M. I'm going to have to hear this album before I buy it.
I just picked up the Black Lips - Arabia Mountain and Mumford & Sons, Laura Marling & Dharohar Project - 10" which I really like. It's much different than a normal Mumford and Sons

It's like someone just dropped off their collection, because all those albums are great. Usually, you find the worst LPs at thrift shops... I was amazed, myself.
