Today was a good day.
I have recently discovered GP and Grievous Angel absolutely two of the finest albums ever created

No doubt about it. If you haven't already, dive into Flying Burrito Brothers and International Submarine Band. Parsons hasn't released a single thing that I don't love.

Panda Bear's latest solo album, the BNM'd Tomboy, has only been out for three months, and there's already a deluxe reissue on the way. On October 31, Paw Tracks will issue a four LP box set of Tomboy including the album in full, the "single" mixes of selected tracks, unreleased instrumental/a cappella tracks, "The Preakness" (Panda's song for Animal Collective's sneaker mixtape), and a 16-page booklet. The release will be limited to 5000 copies, and all profits go to the American Cancer Society.

Got my copy of Blackenedwhite today. First LP Ive bought in a while (Since Goblin actually). Was surprised by the clear vinyl. Some pretty cool pictures in the packaging too
Bought The Black Lips new album at their show tonight. They played some tracks off the new album during the show and if sounds as good on vinyl as it does live then I am in for a treat tomorrow when it hits the turntable

Damn, that Smiths boxset is beautiful. Just bought a new copy of Elvis Costello- "Momofuku" and was lucky enough to find a absolutely beautiful used copy of My Morning Jacket -"Okonokos" for $20!!!

Just got the new Fruit Bats in the mail from Sub Pop, and it's got a cool die cut thing going on with the triangle on the cover. It's on light blue vinyl.
Also, Sub Pop threw in about 10,000 stickers (rough estimate). Any ideas on what to do with those?

I'm right there with ya. My friend just loaned me the Fallen Angel documentary, so now I'm all interested in Gram Parsons' stuff.
It's cool looking but it's a little too flashy for my tastes. It would look totally out of place in most peoples houses, unless your house is decorated like you're gonna be on MTV Cribs.
Also fuck, I need more money to buy vinyl. I haven't bought really anything since the summer started. So much I want to get.
