The vault originally started as a "1 vinyl LP, 1 vinyl 7", and a third item like postcard/DVD/Book/etc.".
In this package we get an LP of outtakes. An LP of live tunes. A DVD of two live shows. And a photo book/writings that haven't been released before. It's still pretty great, especially for fans who don't need another copy of the album.

I don’t know if they corrected or repressed Carrie and Lowell but my copy that I bought new had a considerable amount of surface noise, and I read other people say the same. If it sounds better, let me know, as this is such a great album.
Hey all, I need some serious troubleshooting help:
About 3-4 weeks ago, I noticed that when I'd start playing a record, the sound quality was great, but it would slowly get worse as it played. At first I thought it was an issue with the speakers, so I rewired both of them, which didn't fix anything. I then thought it was an issue with the tonearm becoming unbalanced after I moved, so I rebalanced it and set the tracking force again (I also noticed it would try sliding over to the right immediately after I tried setting it, but that was just because I didn't have the anti-skating set properly. *That* issue has been fixed); but I think I only somehow made it worse because now the sound quality just sucks the moment I start playing a record. I've tried consulting the manual (I have an AT-LP120), which didn't help. I've also tried Googling it, but the most common responses seem to be "Your turntable is cheap" (it's not) or "Make sure everything's plugged in right" (it is). I really don't want to rebalance the tone arm again because to be frank, it fucking sucks and is nowhere near as easy as any tutorial video would have me believe, but what I'm really worried about is that the stylus is becoming worn down already or something. Any thoughts/ideas?

shuck To be honest, it sounds like a tone arm issue. If rebalancing it was as difficult as you say, you might have done it wrong. It should be pretty easy. If you’re still using the cartridge that came with the 120, you might also consider upgrading. I remember have similar issues with the factory cartridge as well, although balancing everything correctly solved it for all but the cheapest vinyl.

That's good to hear. To be honest, I keep my turntable on a shelf that's pretty low to the ground so I feel like I may need to suck it up and just try rebalancing it while not on the ground.

Then it would make sense that the extra vibration threw the balance off
So after I posted that I tried rebalancing the tone arm like three or four more times and I was still unsuccessful. Today I finally realized that I was setting the tracking force completely wrong because I wasn't reading the instructions all the way to the end. Anyway, I'm glad to start bothering my neighbors again.
With the AT LP 120 it has a built in pre amp so I can just get powered speakers and it will play? Do I need anything else?
Also looking for decently priced powered speakers ideas!
If it has a pre amp then then you don't need a receiver. It's plug and play at that point.
I'd suggest looking at Edifier speakers. They aren't the greatest high end but the bookshelf can pump out sound.
I'm actually looking at upgrading some stuff come stimulus check and obviously I want a $170 record weight. Lmao
I found a decent deal on some refurbished edifier s2000 that I think I’m going to go with. My entire life being canceled means I’m getting some decent cash refunds in my bank account so seems like a good to me to do something irresponsible.

I was coming back to tag you but if you're looking for pay and play, TTL has you covered.

If you’re not trying to be thrifty the Audio Engine A5 always gets top marks for powered speakers and they run like $400. Your options go up from there it just depends how much money you want to spend.
I have powered speakers and my turntable has a preamp. The speakers are working through Bluetooth and the record player is working because you can faintly hear the music playing from it. The connection from record player to speakers seems really simple red to red and white to white but somehow it isn’t playing out of the speakers. Any ideas?

Do you have to switch out of Bluetooth mode?
this might have actually been the answer because after messing with stuff for an hour I figured it out immediately after posting that message. There’s a volume dial on the speakers which is apparently also a button, pressing the volume dial made it work (possibly turned it off Bluetooth mode?).
