The VMA thread reminded me. Taylor Swift has a song out called "22" where she sings about going out and dancing like "we're 22". Ms. Swift is currently 23. Is this because she wrote it at age 22 or is it a nostalgia thing for last year or what? I figure, between the schooling in English and your love of pop music, you would be the guy to ask.

This question has perplexed me as well. I'm looking forward to hearing your answer.

What's going on with STS1 through STS8? Is it a Hunger Games thing where some of them are d*cks so the lot of them get ignored or a Hufflepuff kind of thing where they all suck and aren't worth talking about?
They'll get em back tonight. Oh and (insert obligatory 15-game lead sentence.)
I find it pretty funny that the Mets stink, but Wheeler is the only pitcher to win 3 games against the Bravos, and he only has 12 starts.
Either way, the pitching matchups in the NL East for the foreseeable future are going to be great. Washington, NY, Atlanta and the Marlins all have young guys who are (or will be) elite pitchers.

What is your favorite format for books, i.e. hardcover, paperback, e-reader, and why? A distinction between mass market and trade paperback is totally acceptable if needed.

Trade paperback or bust! I am really picky about this (bordering on insanity), actually. When I decided I was ready to read the Song Of Ice And Fire series, I ordered used copies of the first three on Half.com, and it was taking way too long for my liking. I decided to go pick up the Mass Market to bide my time, and when A Game Of Thrones came, it turned out to be the HBO tie-in edition (movie tie-ins are also the worst), A Clash Of Kings ended up being the mass market, and A Storm Of Swords was like the original cover that wasn't going to jive with the cohesiveness of the collection. I ended up -- not my proudest moment -- going to Barnes & Noble and just buying new editions of the trade paperbacks of all of them. I gave away the other TWO copies of Game Of Thrones and the other two books to Goodwill, and I'll give the hardcover of A Dance With Dragons away once the trade paperback of that comes out. I'm insane, I know.
Scenario: You're going to be given ten albums to listen to. These are the only ten albums you'll be allowed to listen to for an entire year. No other music. The catch is that you won't choose these albums, someone else will choose them for you. Which member of the board do you select to make these choices for you, and why?
Really cool scenario, Juggs.
Honestly, it might be you whose hands I'd put my year's worth of listening into.
I feel like you'd give me a good mix of stuff I already like: metal, hip-hop, jam and indieish stuff.
I'd be curious to see the list of 10 albums you might come up with.
Pops would be my other choice; it's really a coin toss.
Just saw this - I'm gonna come up with 10 and see what you think.
Now, on to business:
1/You can travel back to 1973 and see either Led Zeppelin or the Grateful Dead in their heyday. Which do you choose to see and why?
2/Best decade for music from 50s to 00s?
3/If you could be attacked by a scorpion, a brown recluse, or naked @ntellier85 which would you choose and why?
4/What are your top three acts for MOEMS by day (disregarding potential schedule conflicts)?
5/At how many MOEMS sets do you predict you will hang out with me?
6/What's the most disgusting condiment?
7/Rank the Endless from most favorite to least.
8/If you could be any character (alive or dead) in Game of Thrones, who would you be and why?
9/What are your thoughts on Georgia football and will they beat Clemson this year?
10/How many baseball teams do you hate more than the Nationals?
11/How many World Series do you think the Braves would have had to win from 1991-2005 to offset disappointment?
12/Biggest food vice?
13/What is your favorite TV show that you think would get you the most grief if people knew you loved it?
