Apparently you're a fan of Top 40 music that most people here would find awful. But what else would you like that would shock many Inforoosters?
It's TRUE. I am Inforoo's self-proclaimed pop-princess - though I do find a lot of Top 40 dreadful. I have my favs, and there are some songs that are just catchy enough that I really enjoy even if they get played out. Everyone here knows I jam with Ke$ha. But what ELSE would SHOCK Inforoosters..... I don't like reggae. At all and in any format. Early Police is about as "reggae" as I can stand. Not sure that's entirely shocking though. Given my pop tendencies.
What's your favorite restaurants - chain and otherwise.
I try not to eat at chains as much as possible. There are a couple exceptions - I go to Melting Pot with one of my besties every couple months, it's our girls night out time. And I'll pop into a Chili's if I'm in an airport. Otherwise - I enjoy anywhere that has been on a food network or travel channel show (I have a list of Man vs. Food locations that I've been to.) I answered my fav ATL restaurants on the last page. So I'll go with the following: Captain Andersons, Panama City Beach FL - Grilled Shrimp FTW. The Pizza Joint, Evans GA. (Newly added!)Shake Shack, Madison Square Park, NYC, NY.
Do you prefer to eat at local spots when you're out of Georgia?
Absolutely. I used to have to go to a work site in Cleveland, Mississippi. There was a dive bar there that served the best shrimp and grits I have ever eaten. Ever.
Do you know what a McGangbang is? And if no, would you try that - or its equivalent?
I do NOT know what it is. ...if it's food, yes, I'll likely try it. And I'm at work so Im not urbandictionary-ing that thing.
What is your next Life goal? Is there anything that you like to eat/drink that your friends find gross? If Randy had a human voice, what celebrity would he sound like? Are there any superstitions that you believe in? What is your favorite smell?
To do what I love for a living. I'd also like to meet a boy who's not an idiot, and:
Is there anything that you like to eat/drink that your friends find gross?
Pickle juice. Seriously, I almost accosted my sis the other day because she had the last pickle in the jar, and I screamed at her from the couch - DON'T THROW AWAY THAT JAR OF JUICE! But there's nothing else that's "gross" per my friends... Well, I know a certain JHo that does not like to eat at seafood restaurants, and I LOVE fish.
If Randy had a human voice, what celebrity would he sound like?
Hugh Grant. I swear, first name to come to mind.
Are there any superstitions that you believe in?
Nothing I can really say I "believe" in... "Though this 3 times (or more) a bridesmaid, never a bride" is certainly unsettling. As I've been in about a thousand weddings. And to anyone out there who's like "Man, Mayo's biological clock is ticking", Yes. You're right, it is, and Im not afraid to admit it. I'm not in any rush, I just know what I want and I'd like it to happen sooner than later.
What is your favorite smell?
The wind coming off the Gulf on Grayton Beach in late June mixed with Banana Boat and a lime in my booze drink.

What is your favorite dessert? Who do you most admire? If you were entering the witness protection program, what would you change your name to and where would you choose to live? Does anyone (besides us!) call you mayo in real life?
BREAD PUDDING. I have tried many many many kinds. And yet, my favorite is STILL the bread pudding from Papadeaux's. It's got a bourbon glaze, and tiny bits of raisins and apple, and it's always the right mushy consistency.
Who do you most admire?
I admire my mom and my dad. My mom wasn't raised in the most loving home, her dad passed when she only 12. She has one older and one younger brother, and my Omi (her mom) was a German transplant in the states in the 60s. It just didnt sound like the most Norman Rockwell life, you know? Then she met my dad and broke the abusive cycle she'd been in, had 3 kids, worked on-call and night shifts as an RN for years and years so we could have nice things. She's been through cancer, a heart attack, family stuff and she still is just a happy and thankful person - she's just an amazing woman. My dad - he's also just a mega amazing human being. He grew up with 4 sisters, 2 older, 2 younger. He knows just about anything and everything. I specifically remember when I was a teen, asking him a question like, "hey dad what is all that grey metal stuff over there?" and him going into a full explanation of what a power station was and how it works and why it works and why we need them, etc. etc. He taught me the importance of all the characteristics a good human should know and practice - commitment, honesty, doing everything (even the mundane) to the BEST of your ability ("no sense in doing it if you don't do it right"). My rents are pretty freaking great. I am ridiculously blessed to have them and to have been raised in such a loving house.
If you were entering the witness protection program, what would you change your name to and where would you choose to live?
WEll I shouldn't tell you because then I could never be hidden!!! I would definitely live near a beach, and by "near" I mean within a 30 min drive. And my name would be... Catalina Marcelli. (that was my first cat's name).
Does anyone (besides us!) call you mayo in real life?
EVERYONE! My immediate family ONLY calls me a nickname of my real name (and I correct people who aren't my family when they call me that), I generally go by my first name when I'm talking with people who aren't friends or when I'm in a work environment. But ever since college, all of my friends, even not-close friends, call me Mayo. What is funny is that my sister's friends call her Mayo, and my brother's friends call him Mayo - so when we're all hanging out together with MY friends - they call my sis "Extra Mayo" and my brother "Spicy Mayo" (he's a ginger day-walker).

First car was a 1990 Ford Taurus. It was the definition of p.o.s. But it got me around until it's untimely death by deer.
What's your favorite color?
purple. purple. purple.
Who is your favorite UGA football player of all time?
Good one! And I'll go with the standard - Herschel Walker!
Ok, so say you just won the lottery and not that guy in NJ. What would you do with your winnings?
#1 - tithe 10%. #2 - hire an accountant. #3- pay off all of my debt and my parents and little bro and sisters debt. #4 - Some kind of investment that has some crazy high return? I dont know... Make the accountant do it. #5 - get an amex black card. #6 - Roll Like a Rockstar package for a LOT of people (including INforoo. Yes, why not, all of Inforoo.)
Say you could invite 5 people to a dinner party. Dead or alive, famous or not. Who would you choose?
My Omi, Kurt Cobain, Ian Curtis, Joan of Arc, Jesus. ...I feel like I'm cheating history by asking 2 suicidal rockstars to dinner instead of only ONE suicidal rockstar and some other historical figure.
What extracurricular activities did you participate in in high school & college?
HS: Cross Country, Dance (you name it, I did it.), drama (I was a riot in Hello Dolly... or so I'm told.) College: Dance (I was on the club sports team, so we did the competitive stuff you see on ESPN, and we did halftime show and sidelines cheering at basketball games)... That was the only university associated extracurricular activity I did, but I would consider my raving to be a full on commitment too
LEGS. Can I ask that they be just a couple inches longer too?
pandas or kitties?
Kitties. More accessible, and they don't end up being 300lbs.
see no colors at all or have everything look green?
Hmmmm.... Green. (I know that's YOUR favorite color!)
sleep in or get up early?
Sleep in. Im one of those that hits the alarm 5 times. and plans on hitting it 5 times so I do end up actually being on time.
roommates or live alone?
live alone. I went rogue for a year, loved it, then went back to roommate, and it was horrible. It was so horrible, that I am confident the next roommate I have will be my hubs. And that's the only exception.
if you had to pick one festival to go to that you've never been to before what would it be?
GLASTONBURY. one day.
on a scale of 1 to 10, how good is Taco Bell when you're drunk?
44,000. three words: cheesy fiesta potatoes.
do you plan on still posting on inforoo once you become a famous internet crafting celebrity?
hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha! Since I don't even blog (or rather, my blogging efforts take up too much of my craft time, so I have let my website lapse) I doubt that I will become a famous internet crafting celebrity. I plan ot post on Inforoo forever.
are you aware that the only reason I'm coming to ATL next weekend is to kidnap Randy and bring him home with me?
Are you aware that if my cat leaves my house without my knowledge I will find you and kill you? *SMOOCHESSSSSS*
I'm a science girl, so A) I totally know what you're talking about! and B) my answer: At the time of this trial, I understand WHY it was "unlawful" to teach evolution; it was in the early 1900's, I mean people were still taking their lunch to school in lunchpails. But there's absolutely no reason why evolution should not be taught in schools in today's modern society. Science discoveries were really gaining ground and people were learning at a faster rate in the 1800-1900s, so the fact that the trial occurred is not surprising. I am glad that the "law" was overturned and evolution was able to be taught to children.
If you wikipedia the trial though, it was all a sham to bring attention to the small town, and gain some political ground with both sides attorney's political parties. So, seems as though people haven't evolved much in the past century, eh? Still just a bunch of dirty politicians.
What's your favorite beer that can be found this time of year?
#teamcider: Crispin Brown's Lane. Or Magners.
You're a water drinker. Have you ever tried any of the Mio flavors? What's your favorite if you have?
I haven't yet! But I hear that the berry pomegranate is insanely good.
What's your favorite homemade sweet treat that is not bread pudding?
RICE KRISPIE TREATS. somehow, I always have the ingredients in my house. I can whip up a pan anytime.
What's your favorite late night snack?
chips. I freaking love chips. preferably kettle cooked, and crazy salty.
What's your favorite breakfast food?
french toast with somekind of berry stuff on it and syrup. OR my dad's banana pancakes. with BACON.
How did Randy get his name? How old is he? What are his favorite treats?
When I got Randy, he was one of only 2 kittens at the pound. My roomie and I got the 2 kittens and came home with them - for the entire ride home, Jack (the other kitten) was mewing and such, and Randy didn't say a word. They'd just gotten their shots, and he seemed a bit loopy, so I though about calling him "Trip." So we get home, and nothing all day. And i specifically wanted a BOY cat because they TALK more, and I was getting upset that maybe I'd chosen a mute kitten! It was 2001, and Austin Powers was on TBS a lot. So I was holding Randy up and Austin Powers was on the TV, and I said, "Are you randy, baby?" and he said, "meeewwwwwww!" And Randy it was. He will be TWELVE this June. TWELVE. My baby boy is considered a 'senior' now!!! It makes me sad. His favorite treats are the Friskies Temptations in tuna. Really, ANYTHING in tuna. The kid loves tuna.
All of these I am asking for no apparent reason. I can't wait for this weekend!!
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! I literally read that, then reread my answers and LOL'ed. You got me good, Steph!!! Can't wait to see you guys!!!
If you had to choose between living the rest of your life at the bottom of the ocean in a undersea lair or on a space station orbiting earth, which would you choose and why?
Dang. That's hard. Because it really encompasses 2 of my top fears: claustrophobia (bottom of SEA?!) and being all by myself (never being on earth again?!)
I'll go with sea lair. A) I get to set foot on the ground within my lair. That's definitely positive. ....dammit now that I am thinking about it, maybe I could live in space?! Then I'd be able to see things... and have sunlight... YES - changing answer to orbit earth in space. There are colors to see in space, whereas on the bottom of the sea it's pitch black. And I could still see the sunrise in space. And maybe even other planets! And I feel like radio communication would be more reliable in space vs. the ocean. And I could decide to be weightless or not. yeah. weightless.
A lot. I was raised to not even call them "Florida Gators." We were taught from a very young age that they are the "Booger-eatin' Gators." Also, they fall right into the NO ORANGE rule. NO ORANGE NO ORANGE NO ORANGE.
Favorite Brave of all time, other than Chipper?
John Smoltz(ie). I love him. He's a stand up guy, and he never sold out the Bravos. And he was a hell of a pitcher.
You love hosting Inforooers and do an amazing job of it, who would you most like to host that you haven't had a chance to host yet?
Why thank you sir! I do LOVE it. I have not yet hosted my lovely CKS, and I'd love to show her around the ATL. Also, I have had EAP and Tronik in my hiz, but we went straight to moog so we didnt get to partaaaayyy, so I'd love to have them back!
