Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Is there any garbage TV show that's just too much of garbage for you? absolutely. a lot of them, actually. i mostly stick to bravo, and don't even watch all of those. i've never seen/have no interest in duck dynasty, storage container shows, the bachelor. also, i can't handle the new jersey housewives. it's bad enough to watch grown women fight with each other, it's even worse to watch an actual family destroy each other.
Do you like beer? no. my bf and my friends are all beer snobs, so i've tried probably well over 100 different beers, and have decided that i just don't like it. If yes, what? BUT last night, i tasted the best tasting beer i've ever tried. it was southern tier 2xpresso, and it wasn't repulsive.
If someone came to Pittsburgh for the first time and had no clue what to do, what would you suggest? we have a really great art scene, a bunch of cool museums and little shops and things. also, the food scene is growing a lot, and there are so many delicious adventures to be had. explore the parks and see the skyline. and definitely go to a game while you're here. our stadiums are beautiful and affordable. it really is growing into a super cool city to explore.
What is your favorite season? i think i answered this before, but i'll say fall! i can do outside things without being terribly sweaty.
Whats the next festival (besides Bonnaroo) you'd like to go to? i love that osheaga lineup, but i just don't think i can responsibly make that happen this year. booooooo.

OK, gonna ask a few questions for a fellow Pittsburgher...
1. Favorite bridge in Pittsburgh? 2. Mon or Duquense Incline? 3. Which view of the Pittsburgh skyline is your favorite? (from where, or which direction) 4. Pamela's, DeLuca's, or Kelly O's? 5. Southside or Strip District?
And some normal questions:
1. Biggest (if any) regret in life? 2. What's the goal you most look forward to coming true in your life? 3. Did you watch Saved by the Bell when you were growing up? If so, who was your favorite character and why? 4. What is one hobby that you wish you would take up? (you could, you don't have the time, don't have confidence in your ability, could be any reason) 5. If you were granted one wish for the world, but it had to be specific, what would it be? (ex. peace between Israel/Palestine, reversing the effects of climate change, etc). Can be US-centric but doesn't have to be.
OK, gonna ask a few questions for a fellow Pittsburgher...
1. Favorite bridge in Pittsburgh?
because it always reminded me of a fish when i was a kid.
because of so much summertime fun. and that's where i was when i first saw that giant duck!
2. Mon or Duquense Incline? my dad used to run the duquesne incline, so we would go visit him and ride it a lot. also, i just really like the view. 3. Which view of the Pittsburgh skyline is your favorite? (from where, or which direction) there's really something special about coming out of the tunnel and bursting into the city. but i also really love the view from pnc park. 4. Pamela's, DeLuca's, or Kelly O's? shhhh, i've only ever been to pamela's. to be fair, i'm not much of a breakfast person. 5. Southside or Strip District? i don't spend much time either place, but the strip gives me less anxiety than southside. i think i'm too old to be down there anymore.
And some normal questions:
1. Biggest (if any) regret in life?
2. What's the goal you most look forward to coming true in your life? i'm in a weird place right now where i'm not really sure what i want to do with my life. i kind of just want to get to a place where i feel as free and happy as i was when i was eighteen. 3. Did you watch Saved by the Bell when you were growing up? If so, who was your favorite character and why? i did. i liked zack because he was cool and didn't really care about anything. i also liked jessie because she had curly hair like me. i was young, okay! 4. What is one hobby that you wish you would take up? (you could, you don't have the time, don't have confidence in your ability, could be any reason) i need to spend more time doing yoga and making things. both of those things make me feel more centered and happy, and sometimes it's hard to find the motivation to put in the work. 5. If you were granted one wish for the world, but it had to be specific, what would it be? (ex. peace between Israel/Palestine, reversing the effects of climate change, etc). Can be US-centric but doesn't have to be. i might have to get back to you on this one when my brain is not scrambled eggs.
If you were president, what is the first thing you would do? i would be an awful president, i'm so indecisive. but can we please work on equal pay for babes?
What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? i would like to experiment more with cooking. i tend to eat the same things all of the time, and it would be nice to explore and find more things that i like, and be able to whip them up on my own. i also think that really learning to cook could help me form a healthier relationship with food.
What does a perfect day look like to you? sunny and warm, so that i can be outside. maybe taking a bike ride along the river, stopping somewhere delicious for lunch along the way. finding some time to read and listen to music while i lay (lie?) under the trees. and having my favorite people with me for the adventure.
Who was your first crush?
and a boy named caleb in my third grade class. his "girlfriend" was on my softball team, so he would come to our games. this is so embarrassing, but i would sing alanis morissette to myself when i saw them together after the games ("like meeting the man of my dreams, then meeting his beeeeautiful wife). i was eight. there were no wives involved.
If you had to be on a reality TV show, which one would you choose? as much reality tv as i watch, it sounds like an actual nightmare to be on any of those shows. i would be terrible on television. but the amazing race would be a cool way to see the world.
If you were forced to open a bakery, what would you name it? don't tell anyone, because i am saving this name for something special some day. i decided on my drag queen name a few years ago, and i would like to use it for everything in my life. "squirrelly temple."
5.5/four tet, daphni b2b floating points, avalon emerson 5.12/neil young 5.19/mannequin pussy 5.21/serpentwithfeet 5.25/hozier 6.12-16/bonnaroo 6.28/goose 6.29/goose 9.17/the national + the war on drugs 9.23/sigur ros 9.27-29/making time 10.17/air
Do you know any languages other than English? i took french in jr. high/high school, and two classes in college. i remember some stuff, but can't have a conversation. sometimes i still practice online.
If you could learn another one, what would it be? i'm working on learning spanish on the duolingo app. so far, i can mostly talk about animals eating and drinking things.
What's your guilty pleasure pick for set you want to see at Bonnaroo this year? is there anything guilty pleasure worthy? after admitting my real true love for one direction, i don't know that anything on this lineup could embarrass me.
What's your view on sports? i like watching my local teams, and love going to games. i think i already told the story of when the pens won the cup during bonnaroo. i don't take them very seriously though, like a lot of people in the city. but man was it exciting to go to a pirates playoff game after they hadn't had a winning season since i was a kid.
If you could make a calendar, would it be a wall calendar or a page-a-day, and what would the theme be? i made a calendar last year for my sister with all of our eat pray blood scream pictures. it would be fun to expand on that and make it a real thing.
If you could have a wild animal as a pet, which would you choose? i loved llamas as a kid, and there were alpaca farms all around my college town. i'd like one of those.
What did you want to be when you were a child? a teacher or a singer. i am not even kind of qualified to be the pop star of my dreams.
What's your biggest pet peeve? littering! mouth noises (maybe just the sound of people chewing) and clutter / general messiness.
What question do you hate to answer? how do you not want children?
What cheers you up? friends and jams and snacks and sunshine.
What is your favorite word? i don't know if i have one! when i was a young nerd, i wore a homemade bracelet that said "epitome" because i thought it was my favorite.
What is your least favorite word? i actually don't think i have a least favorite either. "moist" doesn't freak me out or anything.
What's your favorite thread on Inforoo? i like now playing because it reminds me that i need to listen to more new music and has introduced me to a lot of things i wouldn't have heard otherwise. i also like yay! because it's a pretty happy place around here.
What's your least favorite thread? there aren't any that i actively dislike, i just tend to avoid mafia and the game threads.
If you had to choose between being blind or deaf, which would you choose? oh man, so hard. i can't imagine not being able to hear music or have conversations with everyone that i love. but at the same time, i love to watch the world happen. i can't even decide what is for dinner, this is too much!
If you could have named yourself, what would you have chosen? i never liked my name because it was super popular the year i was born, so there were always at least three brittanys in every class growing up. i liked both of my sisters' names (karmen and angela) because they were different from everyone i knew.
What's your favorite thing about living in Pittsburgh? there are so many awesome neighborhoods with fun things to do. and it's a pretty affordable place to be, which equals more money for fun!
What's your favorite flower?
What are the top three items on your bucket list? is it weird that i've never really thought of this? i just want to travel as much as possible and do things that are out of character for me in my real life.
What is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? the first thing that came to mind was last summer when i spent a week in the adirondacks. i had been in a serious rut, feeling down on myself. i climbed to the top of a mountain after struggling the whole way. as soon as i made it to the summit and looked around, i burst into tears because it was so beautiful and i was so proud of myself.
Why did you go to Bonnaroo for the first time? my bf had gone in 2006 because radiohead is his favorite, so that's how i first learned about it. we went together in 2009, as a college graduation present for myself. there were so many bands i loved, and i was ready for a new adventure before entering the "real world." we've gone every year since!
How was your day? it was nice. i am in the process of fixing things up around my house. i listened to sufjan and painted my closet, and did some pinterest searching for ideas for my other closets/laundry room. i had a delicious dinner with my parents and now i'm relaxing until i have to leave for work.
Since it's near the end of the month, are you surprised you haven't been asked some certain questions? i'm just happy that everyone took it easy on me!
How many wigs do you have? ahahahha, not enough! i had to do some house cleaning with my wig collection because they're cheap and get misshapen so easily. i think i have four right now. blue, pink, black and blonde.
What was your BEST costume ever? You seem really into them, so you can do a top 5 if needed. Pics optional but encouraged!
best costume EVER is tough, because my dad made our family costumes every year when i was growing up, and they were all awesome. pizzas, oreos, steelers, cows, "mcdonalds" (i was a cheeseburger). i don't have access to any of those right now, so i'm just gonna share some from the past few years.
2008 - jellyfish.
2010 - justin bieber.
2011 - we were being the pirates pierogies. oliver onion is my favorite!
Mexican or Italian food? i grew up on italian food, but these days i prefer mexican. beans and cheese all day.
Would you rather have no arms or no legs? oh man. maybe arms because i love love love taking walks and riding my bike and dancing.
Do you believe in love at first sight? nope. unless you count the first time i saw will smith.
If you had to lose one sense which would it be? i want to say smell, but then i couldn't taste my food. maybe that wouldn't be as bad as not being able to see, hear or touch everything and everyone i love.
On a scale of Morrisey to Pharell, how do you feel about your choice of midday meal?
If you had to arbitrate a dispute between the divorce of a PB & J sandwich, who should get custody of the kids (they are the bread slices)?
In an alternate universe where there is still a PBJ Sandwich divorce, but in this instance you and your spouse are the two pieces of bread and you were forced to choose between your children, knowing you could only win one - peanut butter or jelly - which would you fight for to retain custody; which would it be and why?
Are there any foods you're just unwilling to try? i'll mostly try anything (as long as it's not meat/fish), i just don't end up liking a lot of things. i get made fun of a lot for how bland my tastes are.
Related: Tried and thought were terrible? it honestly might be easier to just say what foods i do actually like.i feel like such a downer listing all of the things i hate, but here goes! i don't like condiments, pickles (why ruin cucumbers!), sour things, spicy things (i can handle about a 2/10 in my indian food), salty things, eggs, milk, broccoli, most candy. i guess i only like cardboard food.
On a scale of Morrisey to Pharell, how do you feel about your choice of midday meal? today? i'm trying to think of an album slightly less sad that sufjan's new one to explain how i was so busy at work that i only had a granola bar and tea until 7pm.
If you had to arbitrate a dispute between the divorce of a PB & J sandwich, who should get custody of the kids (they are the bread slices)? peanut butter, obviously (preferably jif)!
