I bought 2 tickets on ebay in 2007 -- as long as it's a reputable-looking seller, same as any other auction, i'd go for it. make sure you pay for adequate shipping to get your tickets in time, though!
2010: 3/12: The Bad Plus/Happy Apple/Buffalo Collision/The Bad Apple 6/10-13: Bonnaroo 6/19: Rock the Garden 7/30-31: Mid West Music Fest 8/21: Los Hombres Calientes 8/31: Marijuana Death Squads 9/11: The Book of Right On w/ City on the Make 9/23: Of Montreal w/ Janelle Monae 10/4: Broken Social Scene 11/23: Grinderman
we've done this almost every year to get tickets for friends who decide to go last minute, just make sure you have enough time to get it mailed to you or are able to pick it up after you buy it!!
We bought our tickets off ebay this year, for the first time, the others we bought from Bonnaroo, but I've heard from the seller's already and we got free priority shipping, so...so far so good....I'll post again when they arrive!

I bought my ticket on ebay the last 3 yrs. I always made sure the seller had a good feedback rating. The only problem was last year. The ticket was shipped UPS 2 day delivery and should have arrived on Wed. but wasn't delivered until Thursday, causing me to miss Thursday's shows. This year I'm volunteering. If I ever buy another ticket, it'll probably be from ebay, but I'll be sure to allow at least one extra day for shipping.

I sold mine on StubHub last year I also did a lot of looking around on ebay and stubhub trying to find a good deal that would convince a friend to go with me so I wouldn't HAVE to sell mine, lol. You can definitely find some good deals that way. But like everyone else said, make sure you have enough time! I'd recommend StubHub for that reason - since it's only handling tickets, the system is designed to make sure you get the tix in time.
I'm still undecided about this year but if I go I'll probably try to buy my ticket from stubhub or ebay.
It's like any other buy on eBay, just trust the seller. If you're asking whether there is a trend of Bonnaroo scammers on eBay: Not that I'm aware of.
I just bought a pair of 4-day passes on eBay. I live on base in the dormitories and since the mail ran late on Friday, I won't receive them til monday. They're there though, I checked the tracking =)

deff check out craigslist, they have good postings and you can find something close to you so you can pick it up. I just sold 2 tickets on ebay, two friends lost their jobs and can't go, but I posted today, talked with the guy, exchanged numbers and are meeting personally to do this. With ebay you may have to worry about them getting to you on time, you don't have that worry if you pick them up from the seller... depending where you live of course.
I got the one I ordered on the 2nd from ebay. This guy had never sold anything on ebay, didn't have internet at his house and still came through with the ticket. He paid $17.50 for overnight shipping, so he only got about $150 for the ticket. Now, my friend has a ticket to go with us!
