just cash and water bottle? or are you lugging a backpack? this will be my first Bonnaroo!!! and i have the tendency to want a lot of things with me at festivals...like cash, camera, fan, hat, sunscreen....but it is going to suck carrying that around during the long stretches away from camp right?
Bring a backpack. If your going in a group, just bring one and share the carrying duty. Bring your camera, cell phone (turned off), frozen bottles of water, small snacks, poncho, and a small hand towel. Make sure you bring your schedule with you too. Hope this helped. There are more personalized things you should bring, but these are the basics. Have a good 'roo.

I always carry a bag at Bonnaroo! I like to be prepared, so that I never have to go back to camp! Being so far from camp is exactly why you want to carry a good deal of gear! For the wonderfully glorius Bonnaroo latenight experiences, you only need water, camera and glow-sticks!
During the day, I carry:
1.) cash 2.) toilet paper & wet wipes 3.) sunscreen 4.) camera 5.) extra water 6.) smoke kit 7.) snacks 8.) misting fan 9.) big floppy hat 10.) Poncho (just in case)

Also bring chapstick.
JESUSDAMN! Man, you are a genious! Since my inhuman coldsore in '04, i've brought Abreva and NeoSporin LP every year! I apply them all day and I haven't had a problem since!
I carry a backpack with water, a hat (if not on my head), sunscreen, my camera, my schedule, toilet paper (for the wife), more water, a blanket (for sitting), even more water, and a poncho.
This year I am definalty about to bring a backpack. It just seems that much easier to bring essentials (such as water, sunscreen, etc) around with you.
tp/hand sanitizer disposable camera poncho neat sheet (at night)LED glowsticks and a few 5-minute uber glowsticks water(in camelbak) small centeroo chair(sometimes) small bottle of goldbond sunglasses hat sunscreen burts bees chapstick is awesome

If you don't want to carry a bag, cargo shorts with lots of big pockets work pretty well too, depending on how much you think you'll need. I can get cigs, 2 lighters, money, phone, camera, hackey sack, snacks, schedule/map, small sunscreen bottle, and even 2 bottles of water in mine. Bought them at the gap 2 days before leaving last year... they were $16.00 marked down from $39.00 since the gap had moved on to winter gear already. (It was the second week of June, so of course that makes sense.) Also, if applicable, it is probably a good idea to bring like 12 lighters into the campground, since you'll probably lose like 2 or 3 a day, (or at least that's what happens to me) and for some bizarre reason it's hard to find one, the vendors in centeroo didn't seem to sell them last year

Your backpack makes a good pillow also if you wanna nap in centeroo
I've got the hippiest of handmade shoulderbags, which will be tied around my waist and filled with these: ----- sunscreen & chapstick water bottle (on carabiner, clipped to strap, to refill) cash trail mix baby sized sheet (To block some sun or soak in cold H20) handbown glass and unmentionables my poi (led, for random dancing) Lighter & smokes Hand sanitizer baby wipes ----- I carry a lot.

The first time I used GoldBond was at Roo in '04. I was feeling pretty damn "happy", and when the elves went to work it kinda freaked me out! I just kept praying that it was going to level-off before it got too intense. It did. After that, I rather enjoyed it.
