Only 32 weeks? It just feels like it should be longer than that. It may be that part of the next episode preview where he says he's been living under the threat of death for the last year that is making me think that though.

A year and change sounds more realistic.
I didn't think of this until I saw a discussion elsewhere about it. Is the character that fell last Sunday dead or just unconscious? I thought he just got knocked out but others are dead set convinced that he is dead.
I'm not sure if Ted is dead, but Bill Burr (i refuse to learn his characters name) said that what happened to him was "an act of God" so I'm assuming that means he's daid.

I read an article about it which said that they wanted to make the fall more intense but the guy who plays Ted had spinal surgery earlier this year and he was worried about killing himself for real if he did anything more intense than trip on a rug.
I read an interesting theory earlier, someone pointed out the strange zoom on a hyacinth plant. The theory is maybe Walt did but not with the ricin. Hyacinth would cause nausea diarhea etc... but probably not kill him.

I'd be surprised if it was Walt who poisoned him. Doesn't seem like something he would do, plus I want to see Walt/Jesse v. Gus/Mike (please be back next episode)/Tyrus in the next episode.
“I’m going to do this one way or another, Mr. White,” “Then let me help.”
Ohhhh shit.
Also, I know Gus is the ultimate badass, but come on, what did he sense that made him not walk all the way to his car at the hospital parking garage? They tried making that scene super tense, but I just felt like there was no way he was walking to his car after that. Maybe if you get that many attempts on your life you start to pick up on things? I don't know.

I think he knew Jesse was on to him with the poison comment, also it is entirely possible he knew Walt had left his house as well. If you can fund a hospital just for you keeping tabs on an enemy should not be that hard.

But then why was the cigarette with the Ricin gone from Jesse's pack?

Walt had Sauls Bodyguard swap the pack for a different one, Saul did call him to come over thirty five times or so. Plus if Saul was really leaving town to run from Gus would he really give Jesse his money back, or just take it with him?

I just watched the scene again where Jesse walks into Saul's office. If Huel (sp?) is talented enough to take out a pack of cigarettes from Jesse and swap it out with a different one in that amount of time without Jesse noticing, he deserves a World's Greatest Patdown Artist award. I guess Jesse looks distracted during it, but it still just seems really implausible. I'm gonna be kind of upset if that's how it's written into the show, provided it was actually Walt who poisoned Brock.
I said this on another forum, but I think that the overall unsatisfying feeling of this episode was intentional. I think that everything we're thinking (who poisoned Brock, how did Gus know about the bomb, etc.) that seemed lazy are actually intended so that we wont see whats coming. I think the Finale is going to tie all these loose ends into a very great conclusions, and all of our questions will be answered.
The questions we have AFTER the season finale... now that's a different story.

The wait until next season is going to be painful.
I remember reading an article with an interview with Bryan Cranston before the start of this season. He said that, by the end of this season, people are going to stop feeling sorry/bad for Walt. I don't know if this points to him being the one who poisoned Brock or just the fact that he's kind of a doucher for putting his whole family in danger and making Walt Jr hate Skyler.
Which reminds me, Skyler is a terrible name. They shouldn't be allowed to name characters that.

I'm sure you're not the only one but he said in the interview that nobody will feel bad for him by the end of this season. Looking back on my other post, I totally didn't say that. My brain is not working well today.

Last thoughts for tonight: 1) Giancarlo Esposito better win an award for this season. 2)It makes me appreciate Bryan Cranston more to remember that he looks like this. When he used to look like this.

Back on the speculation, i was thinking about this while making breakfast. Here's a theory.
Walt poisoned Brock or had him poisoned. He did it much for the reason Jesse said about wanting to bring Jesse closer to help with Gus. Jesse helps Walt take care of Gus in the finale but then finds out that Walt is responsible for Brock. It sets up the final season with the main conflict being between Jesse and Walt.
I am not totally sold on it, but it makes sense for a couple reasons. With the way they've built up Gus killing everyone and their mom this season, it seems unlikely that he makes it through the finale. This leaves them without an antagonist. Gus effectively wrecked the cartel with the poisoning episode, so they are not likely to be able to mount a big offensive for the final season. With it being the final season (16 episodes), the storyline has to wrap up the series, so it's kind of cheap to bring in a new character as the main antagonist. Out of the existing characters, Walt and Jesse has been arguably the most important relationship of the series which would make it most likely for the replacement antagonist with Hank and the DEA being the only other option that I can see from existing characters. Then again, that whole thing rests on Gus not making it through the finale which is not guaranteed to happen by any means but just feels like what will happen.
P.S. this is what happens when there is not a good early game on ESPN3.
- Giancarlo Esposito said recently in an interview that there is "still a lot we don't know about gus, beyond what we learn in season 4." This leads me to believe that Gus will make it alive through the season four finale, or will at least be a main focal point in the final season, even if he dies. - I really think that there are only two things left for Breaking Bad to do: Bring Hank into the picture to the point where he as to confront Walt. I think we all expect Hank to find out eventually and it will surely be either during season 5 if not tonight. - One more thing is in that same Giancarlo Esposito interview, he says that he thinks the last 16 episodes might get split into 2 seasons.

I would be very happy if Gus made it through to the final season. The character and acting are great. I just have the feeling that he won't, but I'm probably wrong which is okay by me.
Aaron Paul has said in an interview as well that season 5 may become 2 seasons. I'd be okay with it if there is a smaller break in between the two seasons since they're smaller seasons.
Agreed on Hank having to find out. He's been on the hunt for so long that there's no way he won't figure it out eventually.
I also think that Walt has to die in the end. It just seems like the only way to wrap it up. The question is whether the cancer or the job gets him.
Walt will definitely go. They kind of arbitrarily threw in a scene with him at the doctors office mid-season, I think he found out some bad news and didnt say anything yet. He's done for at the end of this show, regardless.
And Hank is soooooo close. he's not gonna drop it now.
