John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
for those not in the know: russian circles are a post metal band...VERY heavy, fast, and psychedelic...significantly more jam-friendly than the other metal bands on the bill
i wonder if they are really playing sat.? none of the other metal bands have sat. listed. so rc doesn't really fit with anyone playing on sat. would they be cafe?
so, so excited about this. they are one of my favorite bands and i usually get to see them every 3-4 months because they are in chicago.
they are perfect live. only one guitar player but he uses a bunch of loops and delays and is able to pull off stuff live that is incredible. lots of finger tapping along with some very powerful metal riffs. if you go stand on the right side of the stage and watch mike. he's amazing.
also one of the best drummers in post-rock. the guy is really tight, but all over the place at the same time.
their new bass player is also in these arms are snakes and was in botch if that helps anyone.
the wicker park fest video above is a perfect one to show their show.
here are a few more.
also i think they're in a tent. they're too big for cafe acts. right now their myspace page says 3 pm. i don't think they would sign up if they were a cafe act as before this they were just recording all summer and taking a break from touring.

This band is ridiculously awesome. I had never heard them but I can't imagine myself missing them after one listen. Definitely my favorite add thus far.
from their myspace. When: Sat Jun 13 09 04:00 PM Where: Bonnaroo Arts & Music Festival, , Manchester, TN, US Details: Don't know what time we are playing yet or which stage.
they have opened for coheed before, maybe they will be paired with them.
nah, I'm just in a bad mood because every festival has a kick ass DJ lineup and roo keeps adding bullhonkey like this. It's whatever tho there are ton of bands at Roo this year that I really want to see but def not as much as I have wanted to see other years.

I see what you're trying to do there but fail, Roo has always had decent electronica and never had much punk at all but this year they fell flat on their face, I am going to other fests as well, a bunch actually but the lack of late night filthy beats at roo is a shame. I had pretty much gotten over it till I saw Lollas dance tent I mean what do we have here at roo in way of electronica Oakenfold and Pretty Lights .... wow

i have to admit after giving them a listen I am very stoked about them its finally the time that roo added some post rock, I love the instrumentals and there ability to build them up and peak them, this show will be sick with lights hope it doesnt conflict with somebody i want to see.
