Im looking foward to the album. I know its cool within the music community to hate DMB but they were really the first band that I really fell in love with and saw live so they hold a speacil place in my heart.

mine too....the band Ive seen the most and I still get excited everytime I see them
My thoughts exactly...
Some of my best times in my life were weekends at The Gorge hanging out with other random people waxing about set list and solo jams...I have to say as well it might have been the first band that I felt close to, you know actually loved...I grew up with The Beatles but they always were removed, sorta like a legend. The dorms OMG who didn't know a person with a DMB poster, it was like they gave that out with your keys.
I went to their last show here in Vegas and afterward we meet up with some of Michelle’s UCLA friends and a couple of them scoffed "WOW, that's so college", that kinda got to me because we are ourselves reinvented over and over and to act like you are too cool for that is kinda BS, but those same people also thought my Cobra Kai outfit at halloween was awesome...I digress...
Dave Matthews Band is a big part of my life, although I don't seek out their album as much as I use to on long drives, they will probably wrestle with Pearl Jam as my favorite band of all time.

I didn't know thats it "hip" to not like DMB. I can't get enough of them, thats prolly why I have over 5 verisons of everyone of thier songs...not including those on an offical release
I just check my itunes and have 687 different tracks from Dave Matthews from 52 (52!?!?!?!!!!!) different albums!!

I've been a DMB fan since 94. I first saw them on the BTCS tour in 98 and have seen them around 40 times since. I got kinda tired of them and almost didn't want to seem them this year. I listened to the new album and fell in love all over again. Yes, it is sad that LeRoi has passed, but let's face it, he wasn't very good. He was great in the studio, but severly lacking live. Jeff Coffin is a virtuoso and steals the show when he plays with DMB. He even threw in a couple of subtle LeRoi tributes at the Deer Creek shows. Def the best album since BTCS.

Wow, has it been that long already? I didn't mean any disrepect to LeRoi, just think that the band is really lucky to have Jeff touring and recording with them.
