Up here a bit north of Chicago for work right now and I am gonna head down to Chicago this weekend on the Amtrak. I am lookin for a decent moderately priced (80-120) hotel to stay at to catch the moe shows there this weekend and see the city. Any help from you guys would be mucho appreciated!
We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn on Monroe St downtown. Not sure the regular prices, b/c my g/f gets a discount. But it is a nice hotel within walking distance to everything downtown.
The only places I have stayed in Chicago are the Allerton and the Embassy Suites downtown. The Allerton is really close to most stuff and nice, and the ES you get free happy hour drinks and free cooked breakfast.

Are you a rewards member with any hotel? If so try them and push for a discount. I know when in New Orleans 4 years ago we got a free upgrade form a regular room to 2 suites because my dad was a platinum member for so long or whatever. Also got some free nights at the Hilton Chicago on S. Michigan Ave last year for free. Nice hotel, but not sure how much a room would run you.

Yea I am a member of Hilton Honors but dont have any points accumulated with them. I have looked into the Central Loop hotel. Doesn't look too bad and has pretty good reviews. Thanks for some input guys. Friday is getting closer!! Can't wait for some moe
As someone already mentioned, the Allerton Hotel is right downtown and a great place to stay for a decent price. I stayed there with a buddy over the summer for Lollapalooza and loved it. Chi-Town is a cool ass city.
I'm close enough to Chicago that I know enough people to have a floor to crash on. I've only stayed in 2-3 hotels there, and two of those don't seem to fit your criteria.
The Heart O' Chicago motel was downtown, around $90/night, didn't charge for parking and was right next to a bus stop. I'd definitely stay there again. www.heartochicago.com/
