not my fault you had to go and get all wordy, Dave Maynar
It's not being wordy. It's showing interest in the subject. I value gl whereas you just want to use him for his culinary mind and discard him like yesterday's newspapers. Shame on you!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Ive been putting in work on my sushi kit I got. Just wish that the grocery store had a better fish selection then the typical salmon and flounder. Although shrimp and every once in awile some tuna will get stocked and i make a feast.

I keep meaning to attempt to make my own sushi. But it looks so hard. And I'm lazy.
Tonight I had a turkey and avacado sandwich with roasted red pepper.

Its really not that hard. Their are kits out there with everything ya need and refills are usually found in the world foods section of a local grocer. Cooking the rice is simple step by step and make sure not to use metal because the rice wine vinager reacts to it thats why they use bamboo. The rolling is a bit messy at first. I just realized that the pros use half a nori sheet for their rolls while i was using a whole one making mega sushi. I make a dang good spicy mayo too but thats a secret recipe.

The hardest part is finding sushi grade fish. It's cheaper here to go eat at a sushi restaurant than to go to buy your own fish at one place in town that sells sushi grade fish.

True. Theres a spot that has $20 a person all you can eat with a great selection up the street from me. Go every week but for fun me and my girl will make a night out of making sushi.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite at all, but our local Kroger has pretty decent sushi too. I'll usually grab some once or twice a week because it's cheaper and more convenient than going to a sushi restaurant.

Philly has plenty of high class $50 bucks for 2 rolls kinda joints that I really cant justify going to especially when a random sushi craving pops up every week.

The plus side to the places here is that you can get an awesome dinner (2 rolls and a beer) for less than $20. Unfortunately we don't have any all-you-can-eat places though.

I'm having the fanciest lonely Saturday night ever. Going to cook some lemon pepper and garlic Tilapia and I just stopped and got a nice bottle of wine. It's not even a sweet wine, I feel sophisticated and shit right now. What a weekend.
