I have been very bad about eating out for the past month. But I'm ready to start making stuff at home again! I just need some inspiration.
I have been really bad too. When I am "good" I got out to eat at least twice a week, so now that I have been bad.. oh boy.. You don't even want to know. I woke up today with with some ambition to get back on track, though. So hopefully you'll see me posting about cooking in this thread again!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
We picked up some beef kebabs from Dean & Deluca and I made caramelized onions to go with it. I ate only a tiny piece of steak and an entire onion. I could eat more now if I had it.
Allrecipes and Myrecipes both have it (click search by ingredients). I have never used the function, so I can't verify how good the results are on either site. I really should start though....

Easy peasy. Black beans, corn and brown rice. Stir that shizz up in a skillet with some spices, cilantro, lime juice and an entire jar of salsa. Scoop the mixture into a halved large bell pepper. bake with a slice of pepperjack cheese on top.
drool.
Best part? Having leftover mixture for lunch the next day and plopping it into a low carb/low fat tortilla. FTW!
nurs'n--It is sincerely scrumptious. And I love that its so low in calories, but really filling because of the rice and beans.
I made this last night and in all honesty, I ran out of cheese and it tasted just fine. I had a wedge of trader joe's habenero jack I was going to shred on top, but to my dismay, it sprouted mold. boo. So, if you're down for the whole cheese subs, go for it, but it was tasty without it.
I'm just obsessed with cheese and will find an excuse to put it on anything!
Ok, not a dinner post, but it's about food nonetheless... I've been having a difficult time finding something that fills me up for breakfast. I've tried: bagels, cereal, fruit and yogurt (not all at once, but individually as breakfast items).
Background info: I do not like oatmeal (BLECH). I usually eat once I get to work instead of preparing it at home. I drink my coffee and then eat, which usually ends up being around 8:30. I usually eat lunch around noon, but sometimes earlier because I am SO HUNGRY because breakfast hasn't filled me up.

Any ideas/suggestions?
Are you a veggie?? If not, hard boiled eggs do it for me. Portable and delicious with a cube or 2 of cheese, and some pepper, and still healthy If you are veggie, watermelon and lots of it, and drink tones of water. This may be terrible advice, I dunno, it's what I do.
