Boulevard Pale ale is what I brought a lot of last year, I poured the bottles into empty plastic Simply Orange (orange Juice)containers, they each held like five beers, and had an airtight screw on lid to lock in freshness,i had beer left over in a couple when I got back, and opened one,it sounded like opening a fresh 2-liter bottle of soda, and it was completely good(no flatness)as opening a sealed bottle. That was, and still is the way to go in my book. The pale ale took on an even better flavor, and when I poured it into a cup, the head and carbonation was perfect.I went back to camp 3/4 of the way through Metallica last year, and slammed a few cups of this awesome chilly brew down, then went back out for an awesome latenight that ended at sun up.
^I wanted to follow the no glass rules... but damn, Yuengling was the ONLY decent thing in cans at the 5 stores we stopped at Monday night. I was determined but at the 5th store I said Quack it Oh well, here's to hoping they don't find my stash. The majority of that list is my boy's... I plan on chillin' in the Brooer's tent quite a bit this year
My buddy and I prefer to drink good beer (non-domestic) so we like to stock up on the mini-kegs. Our standby that we have to get each year is Bell's Oberon. Possibly the best wheat beer ever. In '07 we brought a tasty German black beer, but in the heat of '07 it didn't go over as well as it could have. We also always have to sneak in a bottle of Wild Turkey American Honey. It's like candy.
4x 12-packs of Amstel Light (i really enjoy a light beer on hot summer days) 1x 12-pack of Yuengling 1x 750ml bottle Crown Royal Special Reserve, transferred to a plastic bottle 1x 750ml bottle Captain Morgan Private Stock, " "
I plan on doing about the same this year but substitute Maker's for Crown and maybe another case of something tasty. I really wish Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams canned their Summer releases.
Last year we brought 4 cases of budwiser (allowed 2 cases per person) and vodka. I ended up getting some of the Woodchuck Cider at the vendors in Centeroo towards the evening most days. Tastes soo good on tap.

Sure it's nice to have some dank hoppy beer in a can if you can find it and don't mind getting thoroughly trashed early in the day on the farm. But if you want to drink some light, cheap beer for hours without getting too crunk, there's only one option. BLUE RIBBON!
