This may sound a little dumb but is he performing solo just him and guitar/piano or is he full band? Last time he played he was with allen toussaint full band in 07. If he is solo I have a hard time thinking he will be mainstage just him without a band.

I saw him a few years ago with just a guitar and he certainly held the crowd. I don't know if he go do a main stage act, but he could do Which or any of the smaller stages with no problem. I like him better solo than with the band. I would also imagine that he may join Jenny Lewis or she may join him. She is all over his latest album, Momofuku, and he sings on her album as well.
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."

at first i wasn't really excited about him since we already got him 2 years ago but now that i think about it more him in a tent with a guitar or piano would be a really cool show to catch.

No way Elvis plays a tent. He is entirely too big for a tent, and probably too big for Which Stage.
His show in '07 left something to be desired; thankfully I caught him a year later opening for Dylan. That was a solo performance (just Costello and an acoustic). It was awesome. I am very excited for this.
To a few Christmas carols in the middle of June with Mr. Colbert.
Elvis might have a surprise visitor, for a song or 2...Bruce and Elvis are very good friends, and Elvis played at 1 of Bruce's Holiday Shows in Asbury Park 4 or 5 yrs ago.I wouldn't discount the possibility of Bruce returning the favor at 'Roo...
He'll probably play Which like Les Claypool did last year. I think he'll have some guitars and a piano. They're will most likely be guest appearances, probably Jenny Lewis and Toussaint like what you guys were saying.
EDIT: btw, no way Springsteen just wanders up on the Which stage and starts jamming with Costello! If he does, though, I will feel like a real jackass.

I could definitely see Elvis Costello closing out the Which Stage one of the nights at Bonnaroo. At first I assumed he'd be on the What Stage like he was in '06 with Toussaint and the Imposters, but a solo show definitely calls for something a bit more intimate, and I think the Which Stage would do just fine. I could see him playing the same spot Ben Folds did last year.

im sorry norman, while im no springsteen or costello expert...i really do think bruce would more than likely be happy to show up on which stage, why not, as i see it, bruce plays well with other (obviously made it through kindergarten) and just seems too humble to be like ahhh thats too small a stage for me.....idk like i said im no expert, just an HO
He's got a really great 2 disc greatist hits album through Rhino too, thats always a good start to span a big career. But what dudezer mentioned are pretty good too.
I'm hopin for a little recreating of the magic from River in Reverse. Some really great stuff he and Toussaint put together.

I can highly recommend his newest album "Momofuku". The phrase "return-to-form" gets thrown around alot with veteran artists, but in his case, it's true, probably the best thing he's done in 20 years.
I am going to have to check out his newest album, I really love Elvis and I didn't know that he had a new one out.
I am NOT missing his show...I saw him in 06 (or was it 07?) with Allen Toussant and I was a little disappointed. I'm hoping this time he plays a lot of his solo stuff. I like The River in Reverse but I like his solo stuff so much better.
I also hope he guests with Jenny Lewis...that would make me very happy.
Soooo many collab ops w/ Elvis!! I can't WAIT to see which/how many pan out! That's the best part of Roo....and I think we'll see quite a few on this one...I call Which Stage on Sunday for this one...and I think any/all of the ones already mentioned are good possibilites...and don't forget MRS Costello just dropping by for a tune either...unless she's booked elsewhere for the weekend....I wouldn't mind that at all
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

How is no one talking about this show? It was one of the top 3 of the weekend for me. And has anyone found a recording? I've been searching endlessly, and i NEED this show!
No one's talking about it because nobody was there. I was really disappointed at the turnout for this amazing show. If you go to AT&T's Blue Room, they've got Elvis sitting in with Jenny Lewis on Carpetbaggers.
