Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Am I the only one excited Todd Snider got added? (Assuming he'll really be there). He's the best singer-songwriter out there right now. If you haven't heard of him go and buy East Nashville Skyline. Stop reading and go do it.

Well, I didn't go buy the whole album, but I did get "Conservative, Christian, Right-Wing Republican, Straight, White American Males" because it really hit home after listening to my friend say that my "liberalism" was putting a strain on our friendship
Weird Al Yankovic MIGHT be good in the comedy, if he did some like artist interviews or someting.....but a colbert stweart interview would be better
Perhaps you didn't hear me. I've seen "Weird Al" twice on his current tour, and trust me when I say he puts on a truly terrific show. Costumes, props, dancers, videos, audience interaction. And he plays for over 2 hours.
If only we'd be so lucky to have "Weird Al" play Bonnaroo.
EDIT: But he never played Coachella. Don't know where you got that, Neighborhood Creep.
The only way I think this would be fake is if someone hacked into the Bonnaroo Myspace page... haha... you know... if their password is "roastedcorn" or something easy to find like that.
Other than that, I don't think they would deliberately try to throw us off... as I mentioned earlier. And it's also odd that one of you fellow Inforooers researched all of those bands and not one of them are confirmed to be somewhere else that weekend. If it's fake, I think that would bet he hardest part to pull off...
yeah...I just started listening to "Spirit If..." Good stuff.
Broken Social Scene is one of my absolute faves... I waited *all* weekend long to see their set last year, and was in the very front ;D ;D ;D And as an added bonus for all that pent up excitement I got Amy Millan from Stars!!!
Spirit If... is a solid listen, especially if you're a fan.
Call me a victim of last year's Zeppelin rumor hype and then the huge announcement that turned out to be two nights of Panic (not that I don't like Panic, just that the announcement wasn't as big as they made it out to be).
Oh....did Panic play another set on Monday night? I was under the impression they only played one set last year.
Unless you're referring to a few years ago
I get each year mixed up. You're right. Panic was one night last year. Doesn't change the fact that Superfly hyped the announcement.
In reference to TVotR, listen to the new album. Very good and different. I wasnt a big fan at first but now I like them and just downloaded the whole discography so I am going to try to figure them out but would love to see them perform their new stuff.

I loved Weird Al when we took my daughter to see him. I was surprised to hear how good he was. Not sure if I'd see him at the farm, but I might stop by depending on the timing and conflicts.

Very good song. If you liked that, I recommend you check out The Ballad of the Kingsmen.

before people get to excited about them adding friends im pretty sure there were some pretty big bands added last year that didnt end up being on the lineup. if im not mistaken tom petty was one of those they put as a top friend that wasnt there

but tom petty had played roo before.
what was notable about what happened earlier today (for those who missed it and don't feel like reading the whole thread), is that every artist who was added has never played roo, yet they all just "made sense" - in that they were available june 11-14; they fit in as a roo artist; and many of them have new albums being released. and it all happened in such a brief time period.
i'm sure there were some red herrings in there, but don't be surprised if a good 60%+ of that list ends up on the lineup next week.

tom petty had been a friend already because they played in 06, i'm not saying your wrong, i'm just saying i personally never saw them near the top last year, but they have been a bonnaroo myspace friend since 06

Not only that, but then they were deleted after they realized we were watching them as they added the bands.

didnt realize they were deleted. that makes it a different story.
To be honest... I'm starting to think that Bonnaroo's Myspace was hacked... and the reason they were deleted is because Bonnaroo regained control of its Bonnaroo.
The reason I think this is because every band that was added is basically a band that's listed in this forum as a band people want to play Bonnaroo or one of our guesses for a clue. I bet someone from the Coachella forum hacked in because they're so ticked off right now with their own festival.

they also kept a few serious acts like the yeah yeah yeahs and okkervil river as friends, seemingly as a sort of "teaser" to confuse people as to exactly what they were doing.
