I credit seeing them at Roo this past year with the re-ignition of my Zappa fan-dom. My friends called me crazy when I left them to see this show over BB King, and I even doubted myself at the time, but it ended up being the best show of the weekend in my eyes.

Yeah, being a Mastodon fan and a Zappa fan made that day awesome. Hung out halfway back for Mastodon then walked right up to the front for Zappa. What a weird sequence of groups that day in the tent.

I saw them at Roo, Roth and at every Chicago show. I would see them early, late, mid afternoon. I just can't get over hearing Frank's music played well by people who knew it when he was alive. *sob*. (I'm such a girl)

I'll third that. I was front row, not center, but next to the guy who was, which may have been one of you? In any case it was a blast.

Oh I am right there with you on hearing Frank's music played well. I've loved Frank since I was 12 and have seen him 5 times as well as all incarnations of his band since (banned from Utopia, the band from Utopia, ZPZ, ). ....and I shed a tear every time I see one of these bands thinking of Frank...( I guess I am such a girl too) lol ZPZ was my fav. set last year at 'roo..
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."

Did the same thing, was this one of the shows I saw you at, I can't remember. I've seen these guys twice, and they always put on an awesome show. I'd love to see their full set latenight and be able to bring Frank out on the screen.
I was against the rail near the left speaker for Zappa, it was amazing. A friend of mine was unknowingly, while watching zappa, next to Brent Hinds of Mastodon. I have a vid on youtube for Joe's Garage from that set.
I had planned to leave BB early to catch most of this set but was unable to tear myself away in time to catch more than 10-15 minutes. I sure hope they return.

Dweezil was also in Pretty in Pink as Simon... He dated Molly Ringwald.. That show was amazing.. I definitely have them in my top ten to play at roo this year..

Anybody notice any tapers at this show. I was crammed in the front (directly in front of Shelia one person back from the ril. From up there I couldn't see any rigs, but I've been dyin to hear this one again.
