Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Maybe they're saying NIN are after the boss with their crazy LIGHT show? Just throwing some options out...
Right. Hopefully it means Trent will be using the Lights in the Sky setup he had previously said would be shelved. I didn't get a chance to see it.
it truly is amazing...my favorite, was the static that would disappear as Trent got closer...and there was like a blue liquid, and you could see his face, mouth, hands, come through the blue as a camera came closer to him. It was the shit.
even if the clue suggests that Bob Dylan won't be at MSG on May 3rd, that doesn't translate into Dylan at 'roo. The clue says that there is overlap between those playing Seegar's birthday party, and playnig 'roo. If Dylan isn't playing the party, then the clue gives us no information about him.
Moreover, a near exact quote of a Bob Dylan lyric would not be a clue that Bob Dylan was going to be at Bonnaroo. Just like that one clue wasn't for Van Morrison, nor was "Clouds Taste This Way" about the Flaming Lips.
Captain negativity is back. yay. he asked where dylan was going to be. calm down. and i'm all for intellectual conversation, but i dont rely on inforoo as my main source of it. and i dont expect that out of the people on this board. you're not better because youve been on the board longer than everyone else and know how the clues work. you used the "that's not the way clues work argument last round. How'd that work out?
I cannot believe people are still buying into the Snoop angle.
I am going to repost my logic on PB + J:
This clue is written in a simple rhyme, unlike many of the clues we encountered in our previous experiences. Line a is clearly one half and line b is clearly a second half. The two must be treated separately and then put together. I believe the method of solving each half should be the same (for example, Part A wouldn't be an associative riddle with part B being a lyrical reference.)
A: "Peter Pan had a good roast before he was beat to a pulp"
Obviously a reference to peanut butter, no need to analyze it further.
B: "and the ocean spray from a westward bay invites you to take a big gulp"
We have been scrutinizing the westward bay part for awhile now. I think it is irrelevant. As I mentioned before, "ocean spray from a westward bay" is a contradiction in terms. DjjD just threw in "from a westward bay" to fill-in the rest of the line - He is a musician, and wrote this clue exactly like he would write a lyric. Not to mention the fact that is would help to confuse us.
Forget bands from westward bays and all that stuff. Remember "Memphis Isn't Albany"? We were all looking for bands from Memphis and guys who were born in Albany and s.hit. In the end what we really got was an acronym. He uses specific geographic references to confuse us, not to point us towards an artists hometown (exception: Gogol clue from last year, which I think is an entirely different case, but I digress . . .)
As I said, parts A and B should be treated the same. Part A was easy, so part B is easy too. As we've said a hundred times, it is a blatant reference to ocean spray juice. Not necessarily cranberry juice, but just juice in general.
So, we have Peanut Butter and Juice.
We know Mr. DJ has an affinity for using acronyms, and here we have another. Peter, Bjorn, and John.
ratm was the first to suggest Peter Bjorn and John, and it happened really quickly. I think we just over thought things. We got all worked up and thought, "Oh, the clues are going to be way harder this year."
My guess is that we will be getting one clue a day (with some assistance from farmhound along the way). Each clue will be for one band, with some herrings in the mix, but we will never be told if we are wrong or right. As long as we don't get confirmation they know we will all just sit around and bicker about it 'til the line-up is released. He wouldn't have said, "Oh shucks guys, you got it, here's another clue:" They only had one clue recorded, and he is probably only allowed to let one go every-so-often . . . he couldn't burst our bubble that early. Had he told us we were right, we would have no entertainment over the weekend.

Hmmm . . . first week in June and they are down South, and they are already booked for one festival.
If those tour dates don't seal the deal, I'm not sure what else would convince people. I've already outlined the reasons it isn't Snoop. Using the clues to draw a picture/make loose connections to an artist is not how the 'roo clues work.
New Tweets: Old fogey records buying fiesta: Neil Young, Lenny Cohen & Bob Dylan. My favorite is the Cohen (Live in London, which is fabulous) about 8 hours ago from web
Young Fogey favorite: the New Bad Plus cd w/ vox! about 8 hours ago from web
The 1st one is pretty self explanatory but what the hell is the second one saying?
I don't know, but on The Dirty_Guvnahs twitter page if you put the name in twitte the your entered to win thier CD. So, maybe it's nothing. I have no clue.
I know I'm quoting myself here, but just checked the Bonnaroo site and found The Dirty Guv’nahs are listed as a performer now. Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember seeing it before.

Yeah - we had that on there before, but as I told another - I keep looking at the list and going "were they on there before" with bands....sheesh - craziness!!!!! WHat would we do without Inforoo to make us crazy! HEHE!!!!!
I think that is why he will not be added someone that big will not be added at this point. The biggest we are going to get is maybe The Dead Weather or the DBTs. Hopefully we will know in a couple hours!!!
i think djjd is trying to tell us something again.
all this came in the past 10 minutes.

The new tweets definitely seem like clues. Although it seems unlikely they do seem to steer towards Kings of Leon. With two references towards "King" and moving toward the word "used" twice as in "Use Somebody" with the baseball references. When I checked the KoL site, the most recent updates were: Nathan throwing out the first pitch at an MLB game on 5/18 the day before the tweets, a "Use Somebody" vid and announcing their UK tour (including a stop in Manchester, UK) starting on 6/15. Leaving a break from 5/23 to 6/15... Also, I really hope the reference to Johnny Winter isn't ruling out him or even worse The Dead Weather aka wintertime. Anyway just guessing and hoping for a KoL set jammed somewhere in this packed schedule. Phat Clam!!!!

I do remember him stating something about all stars a month ago, so that could Ilo and the Coral Reefer Band, but who knows...I definitely think this is not the last of the adds

oh sounds good, but was referring to Kings of Leon being there (not that I'm a big fan) through his clues...they may have signed up but could be a last minute announcement to boost sales...they must be comfy where they are right now
