So Ive been on kind of a visual/audio combo fascination lately. I watched 'The Wall' for the first time in ages with some friends a few days ago, and I've been on the video kick ever since.
I watched Daft Punk's Electroma last night (after nomming on a healthy serving of corn), and just finished watching Rabbit in the Moon's Decade.
Anyone have any other good suggestions? I've never been too much into 'music videos' in the typical sense, but when it becomes as artistic as some of the aforementioned compilations/whatever it is you want to call them I love it! I really dug Electroma, really shows you how much sound can set a mood and how synergistic it can be with vision.

you MUST watch "Heima"
it's the music doc/dvd of Sigur Ros. after they were done with the 06 world tour, they played free surprise shows all across iceland. some of the most beautiful scenery, and the music of sigur ros. can't really go wrong.
Ween Live in Chicago, Primus Hallucino-genetics 2004, The Flaming Lips UFOS at the Zoo, STS9 Live as Time Changes, are among my favorite concert films.
Flaming Lips' Christmas on Mars is pretty weird but great if you are a FLips fan of any kind.

Oko-fucking-nokos.
And I second the Live at Pompeii notion. Especially the newer released Director's Cut (2005, I think?) It's got some sweet interviews and excellent video footage.

I agree with the MMJ/STS9/Pink Floyd.
I'd like to add tDB "Progressions", half of it is a bunch of heads walking around saying how fun the disco biscuits is, but the rest is pretty stash. I really liked that new phish dvd that came out too.

There's a great Classic Albums cut of Dark Side of the Moon. Interviews with the whole band discussing everything DSOTM, even a few with Alan Parsons! Check it out, Classic Albums does a great job in about an hour
Sigur Ros : Heima (Documentary/Live Compilation) The Band : The Last Waltz (Documentary/Concert) Nine Inch Nails : And All That Could Have Been (Concert) Pink Floyd : Live at Pompeii (Documentary/Concert) Radiohead : Meeting People Is Easy (Documentary)
Yes there is. 2 disc set. Came out in 2002. I don't have it, but Netflix does ;D
Yeah, and it's in superb quality. I used to worship this DVD... it was our noming ritual in High School.
Well worth a purchase if you're into pre-With Teeth NIN.
I highly recomend this. the video that goes with eraser is awesome, so glad i got to see that live. that was the only concert i've ever seen sober and i'm glad all my memories are intact.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
