So many of you have listed bands that were there......and almost NO ONE from this board went....because none of those bands were in the initial announced lineup.....
VooDoo this year was OFF THE CHARTS!! Easily one of the best festies of the year! Yeah..Lolly had the lineup from Hell! But...the crowds killed it VooDoo may not have had the community camping thing going that Roo does...but the crowds were not as big...AND the ones there were MUCH MUCH friendlier than the Lolly asshats
All that to say that.....Bonnaroo has RARELY failed to deliver when it comes down to the lineup....if not the OMG!!! headliners then the undercard has MORE MORE MORE than made up for any lacking therein....and just like VooDoo...you can't judge until the final lineup is announced.....

Zeppelin, Radiohead, Phish, Byrne, the Dead, a Jack White extravaganza, The Cure and/or Kanye West immolating himself on stage with 80,000 people chanting Kanye sucks . . .
Also, Robert Randolph. There can never be enough Robert Randolph. I think they should have Robert Randolph and the Family Band, The Word, Robert Randolph solo, Clapton f/ Robert Randolph and a Superjam led by Robert Randolph.

Don't think i'd actually be too suprised to see a RR led superjam. I felt like their was a huge response to his show from the crowd there last year, especially considering it was sunday afternoon.

I agree with you about judging until the final lineup, for sure.
Voodoo is a great experience (no pun), but the set lengths definitely make me a little upset. Many bands only get one hour to play and that's it. I can ALWAYS (usually haha) count on Bonnaroo to allow the bands I love a respectful set length and just let them play on. That's what keeps me coming back.

Honestly, I don't think there's anything that would get me there for sure. But I don't mean that in the negative way it might sound - it's a positive thing, because I WILL be there if I can manage it. My attendance most likely isn't going to be determined by the lineup - unless somehow Rothbury ends up with a lineup I can't resist. But unless Rothbury interferes, I'll be at Roo as long as I can figure it out somehow (I'm graduating in May so it would be nice if I had a new job by roo-time......but hopefully they can deal with me taking a couple days off!).
