I downloaded and gave it a listen. Can't say that I was blown away by the first listen, but it'll probably grow on me. Will have to give the album a listen when it comes out! I like KOL, especially the song "On Call". I was actually planning on listening to "Because Of The Times" later on today. And, one of my many Roo '07 regrets is not sticking around to see these guys. They were having technical difficulties or something, and we decided to head over to another show.

I hope they add another stop in NYC later in the tour... someplace bigger, United Palace, Roseland or Hammerstein maybe? The Webster Hall album release show was sold out before it even went on sale

it's inconceivable to me that they would not play NYC again and at a bigger venue....
they seem to be playing bigger venues this time around.... and there's no way they'd go bigger in nearly every city EXCEPT nyc...
last year they played the Ryman in nashville and this year they're playing the civic auditorium... it seats 9,654... maybe it's just a hometown thing, who can say...
yes i have the leaked cd. I've listened to it 7 times today. Reveler is the best song. If you are a member of waffles.fm get it, if not i dont know where else it is available

yeah.... so, umm, the youtube videos were not up for very long...
let me just say that i will be purchasing the album even though it's already free all over the internet....
probably twice. once through iTunes to get extra tracks and once more for the CD book thingy... whatev.
and i'm retiring from this thread... posting too much. i'm rising too quickly in the post-count caste system we've got here at inforoo... [see you in the MMJ thread]
i totally understand some of the negative reaction to this album... the Kangs have certainly gotten away from their neogarage days... but i never liked them because they were neogarage... i liked them because they represented something different and i felt they had a distinct sound... not a neogarage sound, or a 'southern strokes' sound, or any other bullsh!t reason that hipster magazines gave us....they just had a distinct sound... and in my humble opinion they've maintained that distinctness from album to album.....
and i think the new songs will only make their live shows a little more dynamic... i can hear CRAWL sandwiched between ON CALL and TRANI... i think it works...
hollllllaaaaaaa......!!!!!
i've got to get on the Kangs' street team...
