I can see where he is coming from much more after that post. I at least appreciate the fact that he acknowledged it and said something to us. You have to admit, he was somewhat doomed from day one, not that he helped any. But anything less than perfection on his part and everyone was ready to turn on him. It'd be hard to preform with stuff thrown all over the stage. I thought the show was weak, but it'd be hard to put on a good show considering. Just my opinion.

I think at this point all the Kanye Hate is just making people ignore anything he says. He apologized for people not getting the show he wanted. He responded like people wanted. But everyone is gonna attack him anyway.
I'm fine with the whole situation and although was annoyed at waiting for him..........really enjoyed his show and feel annoyed that people at Bonnaroo would be throwing anything on stage. Did we not learn anything from the Lewis Black incident where he clearly says "You don't throw shit at people performing for you......whether or not you like them".
Oh well........keep bashing him if you want. I'm over it

i would've appreciated a sincere apology more so than him bitching about breaking his mac book air and having to ice his knees and almost slipping on the stage. but that's cool, kanye is a pretty nice guy i suppose
I think there was a disgusting lack of respect and professionalism to the whole thing. So, I signed up and responded. Check my screename!!! ....and the comments in support of Kanye?! That was classic. I read for like an hour, totally had milk OUT THE NOSE, KANYE! Love ur fanz. Cant w8 2 c ur next glow show!!!!
"JonnYeRoo | June 24, 2008 The very few sensible, honest people who voiced frustrations with Kanye's utter lack of professionalism and balls waited until sunrise for his "Lite Brite Tour", and most of them only wanted an apology. He claims that his fans are so important, but never once acknowledged them in a joke of a show in which he performed for 1.5 hours when he was two hours late! But it gets even better, doesn't it Kanye? The same douchebag you materialistic, morally bankrupt children idolize, blames Pearl Jam and calls Bonnaroo's organizers idiots!!! There were 157 other artists at Bonnaroo, Kanye. Zero had issues with those "idiots". Quite simply, Kanye had an opportunity to gain a huge new audience. Hell, even Metallica did at Bonnaroo.Instead, he disrespected the most open-mineded, intelligent audience any long-lasting artist could have hoped for. But Kanye's not an "artist", he's a bitch, and his fans are hilarious. Are you all really retarded? It's kinda cute how you guys still try to type. "

this makes me laugh unbelievably hard:

Let me ask all of you something: have you ever tried to explain yourself to a friend, a girlfriend, or a loved one who was both a) angry and b) fucked up out of their minds? How did that explanation go between you and them? I have to say: if Kanye had said anything at all, at the moment, it could have had the opposite impact of what anyone would have wanted. What if that one person in the audience heard him going off about Bonnaroo fucking up or Pearl Jam fucking up and then some shit went down like happened at Woodstock '99? Would that have been okay? I'm sure kanYe felt like if he had said the wrong thing, it could have made things worse than they already were. So cut him a fucking break. I was there, I was pissed, I'm cutting him a break. You should try it, it works wonders.

my .02 (even though most of it is has been said)
1. exactly the kind of reaction i expected from him, doesn't change my opinion of the whole situation
2. i still don't understand why he never apologized/addressed the crowd. how hard would of it been to say 'Sorry i'm starting so late, we've been having problems with the set'?
3. if he is such a good mc/artist/performer/whatever, then just say f*ck the setup, grab a mic, and show your $hit. having to rely on a bunch of lights, screens, pyro crap, dancefloors, computers, and a giant lite brite set does not make you an amazing performer
I was just about to go to bed before i saw this thread lol. after reading all those great posts by the kanye people i think its only fitting that we take over the kanye blog thread to a much larger extent to see what his fans do...

well i'm gonna say something just to say something sure his set could have been kind of late from pearl jam but come on who didn't expect them to atleast go some what over the time allowed someone mentioned it earlier about last years lewis black incident which i thought of while i was standing there when i watched the screen break, i don't care how much you don't like someone don't throw stuff at people on stage, there were a bunch of dumb people in that crowd this year but that's no excuse for the stage damage or kanye being late kanye should have just come out on stage as les did during superjam and said sorry for the tardiness no matter how pissed he may have been and the attitude of the crowd would have instantly changed, not a full 360 but definetly a difference i also have to say as much as i hate seeing people throw stuff on stage it does happen all the time and no one cries about it you can't stop it. how many glow sticks get thrown around every year and they always end up on stage and don't spill every where. i didn't see anyone throw open cups of beer on stage to make puddles so he can stop crying about that such a shame the other times i saw him he was so good but now he just looks like a punk, bonnaroo needs not to apologize or respond they can just take the high road and not further the situation i'm not sure about him ending phil's set early i know chali 2na didn't end early because of him, speaking of which i hope someone taped that show as galactic was great that night the worst part about kanye's rant is how he cried about taking less money for this show, he's a rich kid now so don't cry to me about money. most of us work are butts off to get to that show every year. oh yeah my knees hurt to from taking a 6 hour flight a bus ride and carrying my tent and bags almost a mile to my campsite and standing on a farm for 4 days i can't belive i've said this much, i'm not even mad cause i actually had fun waiting for him before i walked away because as i said before they played great music on the p.a. so i danced while laughing at watching the stage hands do nothing on stage
