there was a trip for two to the bahamas contest in centeroo. i was strollin by the table and they convinced me to fill one out. today someone called me and said i won. i was at work and asked them to call me back tonight. should i believe this? did anyone else get in this contest and if so did they get a call too? any advice anyone? haha. im pretty pesemistic that its a scam.
*************************** Don't do it. i just "won" too. after spending 20 min with them on the phone, they charged me $598 for this trip, when they told me i wasn't going to be charged. Now i'm in a poop of a mess trying to get a refund.

Sucks
DON'T DO IT
o man. glad i asked. thanks man. hope it all works out for you. We should send an email to superfly or something to make sure they don't allow them back next year. i was kinda suspicious when the guy asked me if i was at the "bonnaroo concert" last week.
yah. my bank is handling it now. the company is imperial majesty. i did a little googling on them. turns out many others have made complaints against them. i'm just glad i checked my account the second after i gave them my info. sure taught me a lesson.

yeah i got a call saying that "i won" as well. after 25 minutes of getting all the "trip details" they asked me for my credit card number and I knew right there and then that it was a scam. good rule of thumb: NEVER give your credit card info over the phone to someone that calls you. after reading this thread im really glad that i didnt. i feel really bad that some of you got scammed. i hope more people read this.
...boo to bonnaroo for having these con-artists in centeroo!! it actually bothers me quite a bit.
I believe it is a scam, we received the same call, they are just telemarketer selling timeshares for a company. They would not give me a address or phone number of the company. After a little web research everything they said about the trip is word for word on several sites Check out this site. www.ripoffreport.com/searchresults.asp?q1=344
I started a discussion on the Bonnaroo community website to inform more people. I think Bonnaroo should be held accountable for allowing a telemarketing travel scam vendor to prey on people there. If you have been scammed please report them to the Tennessee Attorney Generals Office. Read this link tennessee.gov/attorneygeneral/cpro/travel.htm
Pleas share your experience with other to halt any one else falling for this scam.
its not a scam...its a thing called timeshare...and its for real...but...you have to sit through a "90 minute" work shop...the thing is hotels gives out free rooms to private companys and these private companys sell these rooms to u and i...so they can gain more customers...it sounds weird but i took a trip to orlando...same deal but $250 a person...we stayed off disney ground and had 4 day hopper-passes to disney world and 2 day passes to universal studios...when you go to the work shop they push for you to buy one of these timeshare plans...but just say no...and they give you your tickets at the end...they have free food at the work shop too...in the end it was well worth it...way cheaper then going through any other travel company...just be careful and always say no if they ask you to buy....

If it sounds too good to be true.....
IT PROBABLY IS.
That being said, a coworker almost through out the grand prize winning ticket for 2 to Vegas and a ton of other prizes out of a box of laminate because he thought it was b.s. so it doesn't hurt to check.
