I did the speed limit 95% of the way home back to jersey. I saw a lot of people pulled over and all of them were from jersey. My father also told me that his friends daughter got pulled over on the way there with a 1/2oz and got screwed, so that scared the piss out of me even more.
i got pulled over wednesday evening on the way in while in fayetteville TN. i allowed the search because i knew i had nothing. i couldve denied it though because they had no probable cause and made up some total lie to pull me over. i figured i would get there quicker if i just went ahead and let them search. they said they had already made about 15 busts that day and it didnt even start til thursday. bleh.

we did the speed limit 99% of the way home. my cousin (and fellow rooster) was driving and had the cruise control set at 65, the speed limit. We passed a 55 mph sigh and he didn't see it. We got about 1,000 feet passed it and told him to slow down cause we just passed a new sign..... about 1 second later we passed 2 cops on the side of the road
we passed bunches of cops but never even had an issue
Same here. Never even saw any pull out, just saw one pass by me once paying no attention to me. I did speed some of the way, but not too excessively. There was always at least one other vehicle (often tractor trailers) going faster then I was.
Always remember to take it easy on the way home and don't be in too big of a hurry to get back.

No cops....we were blessed this year, kinda wish I would have brought some goodies back now...oh well. I saw multiple stops though with the full search happening....sucks for those folks...but I'm glad they kept the cops busy.

we lucked out with that on the way down and back. at one point on the way down i was really paranoid after the first time we smoked, and we passed a cop and i yelled COP! SLOW DOWN! then everyone starts cracking up and we were actually doing the speed limit apparently lol. i felt better after that. we did see one strip of highway when we got to TN that had 3 cars pulled over and searched by 5 cruisers.
There were a TON of cops on the way down to Roo. During a three mile stretch, there were numerous cars being searched. Definitely was some profiling going on. Each of the cars were packed to the gills with stuff and also had a lot on their roof.

I only had a scare on the way up. Was going 70, the speed limit, and passed a cop on the side of the road in AL. Right as I pass him he pulls out behind me.
My heart started pumping. Im like no don't fk with me cause im outta state, no please no no no!
I got pulled over on Wednesday on the way down. There's this big huge hill where they drop the speed limit to 65 from 70, and I was doing 72.. with huge trucks on my ass.. come around a corner and there's like 4 cops with a bunch of people pulled over. long story short they profile us, when I tell them they have no reason to search us, they bring a K9 over and find a reason. They confiscate my corn, and now I've got a court date in September. I didn't have much corn, so anyone know what the penalty will be??

yea i got pulled over in minneapolis after 14 hours of driving at 3 in the morning, they thought i was drunk because my eyes were red and i was swerving all over but i was just tired... they made me switch drivers and let me go
Well, we had to drive 24 hours straight to get back to Canada, when we made it to the boarder he took one look at us and asked "Bonnaroo?". We of course said yes, then we were told to pull over to the search area. This sucked already as we still had about 3 hours of driving ahead of us. They ripped everything apart, they had one guy under the truck, one in the front seats, one looking in the rear, another under the hood, and three looking through our stuff, yet as I watched they kept skipping my bag, then they didn't even pack up our stuff, we had to, it was everywhere, talk about a warm welcome back into your own country. You say Fest, they search. Mind you, they found nothing, and after searching our wallets, cell phone pictures, pictures and video's on our camera's, scaning our money, checking the database's, they finally let us go. Next time, we are just saying we are going camping with our grandmother. LOL
Took us 17 hrs each way, from north Jersey...didn't really start seeing police until TN, then there were a ton....we were in a 31' RV, BTW, all rookie RV drivers...anyway, no hassles from the police, but the DTF agents when you pulled in made us get out, and like 8 of 'em searched the RV up & down...luckily, nothing was detected....
Almost, on the way there. Almost got arrested AT Bonnaroo (see my numerous posts on that one, all across the board).
On the way there, we were in a caravan of 4 cars and I was the second one. There was allot of lane changing and the person in front of me refused to ever go under 70, so a cop gets behind me (unmarked Blazer) and my friends are trying to get in between the cop and I, so the cop slowed down, let them in front of them, then proceeded to pull them over. Apparently, they didn't get anything, just a warning for speeding and reckless driving.
I had a few good words with the person in front of me, as I was telling them the whole trip to go the speed limit as cops aren't kidding this weekend.
No problems on the way back, but we were EXTRA careful after the trip up and our last ridiculous night on the farm where our campsite got searched.
I'm going to be ALLOT more careful, next year. Previous years we got away with everything we did. The cops were really out for the nitrous guys this year, so much so that they searched the campsites of (relative) innocents.
That's why you gotta ged rid of everything before you leave. Sell whatever's left. You just can't take risks like that
That said, I still think police should have to have a search warrant to search your car. I know there's the whole "if they have reason enough to believe thing", but I still feel like a warrant should be required

This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.
I left around midnight Sunday and kept my speed right at the speed limit the entire way home. Around 2AM I had to pull over because I was falling asleep so I pulled into a closed gas station and layed across my center console and was out like a light. When I woke up an hour or two later I noticed I was no longer the only car in the parking lot... There were THREE sheriffs parked next to me. I slowly sat up, drank a swig of water, and calmly left for the highway..... with my heart beating through my chest. If they had knocked on my window I think I would have puked.
I got a speeding ticket on the last leg of my trip home from Asheville to Wilmington on Tues. afternoon...70 in a 55. No search though, which is good cause I had plenty of contraband in the car still. Still, $300 or so down the drain by the time I get the ticket taken care of...bleh!!

I will repete what has been said many times in the past: Dont bring groceries to the grocery store! I just dont get why people do it unless of course they are a grocery store. and if you do take something home, dont have it hidden away somewhere, have it right on your dash or in your pocket so it can instantly be sent out the window.
and if you do take something home, dont have it hidden away somewhere, have it right on your dash or in your pocket so it can instantly be sent out the window.
Bad idea! Throwing items out your window = probable cause.
You ever see a sign by the side of the road, claiming there's a no-no checkpoint up ahead? That checkpoint is never going to be there, because it's unconstitutional. A blanket stop-and-search point doesn't fly.
What is constitutional in that situation, though, is police watching for items being tossed out the window and/or people pulling over at the nearest exit to rearrange their gear.

we got pulled over going in wednesday night. we had left the walmart in manchester and just got off the ramp at exit 111 (we were almost there!). as i stopped at the stop sign at the end of the ramp the state trooper motions us over to the side of the road. within seconds we were swarmed by 4 other troopers with flashlights. as the main guy questions us from the passenger window the other ones scoured the inside with their lights just lookin for a reason to search us. of course they found nothing. turns out the reason we were pulled over is my friend in the passenger seat forgot to put his seatbelt back on after we left walmart... DOH! after a few minutes they let us go.
