I didnt "see" them but i laid out by a lemonade stand for the whole set, and the "fugi" i ate made the show unbelievable, i've never been so damn happy in my life other than that moment, hopefully they will come back next year i think they fit in well. I really wish though they play on the main stage and did a performance like they did on there dvd for untiled 8, that would have been something else.
I Melted into the gravel road behind That Tent during Sigur Ros.
Seriously.
I still have some on me.
lol me too, my friend said he was doing the same thing though the whole show, if u saw someone looking like they were having a religious experience that was me and my friend.

Yeah, the only "disappointment" of their set is that I was praying and praying for them to come out for a Untitled #8 encore; that would have caused a state of complete mindblowing ecstasy (or a state of mindblowing ecstasy x 2 heh). Not that they didn't achieve that with the rest of their set and amazing performances like Hafsol, it's just that Untitled #8 would have put an insanely ridiculous cap to the whole thing.
But overall, I couldn't have been happier with the set. I only wish I'd gotten there earlier and gotten a better spot. But my god was that incredible.
Yea I know i enjoyed festival alot too, alot like untitled 8, and there other new song (not gonna try and spell it) i really hope they come back next year, or i can see them again.
Sigur Ros was amazing aside from the hiccup in the sound system. I didn't think they did the greatest job on Gobbledigook either. But seriously, blown away. I actually cried at one point. haha
I didnt see them at all. but I was wondering if the sound bled over from any of the other shows that were happening at the same time??
I am happy everyone enjoyed themselves
Yeah there was some sound bleeding, and I think it distracted a few people. But I was so absorbed by Sigur Ros I hardly cared. At one point Jonsi said it would be nice not to hear the other shows.

more distracting that the sound bleeding over was the people yelling during the quiet parts of the songs.

I loved the set. Whenever it got quiet I was a tad annoyed at the bleeding, but when they got started I couldn't help but shed a tear or two of joy. Possibly more, it was incredible.
It was great. I wish people had actually sat down like a real Sigur Ros show so everyone could have relaxed and seen the stage. That isn't standing music, folks! Its relaxing and mellow. And some guy completely passed out next to us. He stood up and fell back down like an accordion, hit his head and his legs bent at the knees the WRONG way. He started puking and had to have water poured all over him. Sort of screwed up my vibe for such an amazing show.
I had the time of my life at Sigur Ros this weekend. I skipped out of Pearl Jam around 11pm to get a fairly decent spot, and managed to meet some really cool people next to me. It was just so peaceful and happy. My only two complaints are that a) my legs were freakin' killing me after a really long day in Centeroo, and b) I had to lose my spot towards the end so I could duck out and use one of the porta-potties. That Camelback full of beer went straight through me ;D.

After now having seen both in concert (Kanye at 'roo, Public Enemy at a festival six years ago), I can honestly say that Flavor Flav is miles above and beyond where Kanye will ever be.

unfortunately i was pretty tired during this show, so i was mainly laying outside the tent, resting for ghostland observatory, just listening to the music.. fortunately i saw them about two years ago in cincinnati, and that was one of the best shows of my life.
If people sat down, a large number of people would have been stuck outside the tent and more subject to sound bleeding from other stages/tents.
If it were an amphitheatre with seats, then people can sit down. Even the people in the front would have to scoot back several feet so that the rail didn't obstruct their sitting down view.
Plus I think a band would rather see people standing up than sitting down for them.

they not only had to stand for most/all of their set but they also gave the audience a standing O. you've gotta show love for a band that appreciates you that much. get off your ass i say.
did you miss this show??? check out this shizznit!

Sigur Ros was no doubt a religious experience for me. Top 5 show of all time. I just closed my eyes, felt pure bliss, and floated. I came back to earth when it was all over with, but I was pretty shell-shocked after that experience.
