I ate at a Cracker Barrel for the first time last year and it has been downhill ever since. There's something comforting about the fact that they're almost ALWAYS EXACTLY THE SAME, no matter the insterstate/highway exit.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

grits=DEATH
waffle house is way way way better than huddle house. and the oft forgotten "Waffle King" It's not the food, it's the 24 hourness and the interesting people, and the ability to spend 2 hours there hangin' out without spending more than a few bucks. Cracker Barrell has good food, sometimes, but not at 3am. And i'm tellin you, waho BLTs are the sh*t
Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.
It somehow seems appropriate that this would be my first post to this board. I just turned 47...this will be my first 'roo - a buddy and I will be heading down from the Philly area. Been a long time since I've been to festival - mostly Dead shows and bluegrass festivals back in the day. Anyway, looking forward to sharing some fine times with all of you youngsters (and a few old heads!). I guess the one thing that comes with age is wisdom - I am definitely planning on pacing myself so as not embarrass myself!! I must admit, waiting for the lineup announcement makes me feel a bit like a little kid waiting for Christmas...can't imagine how I'll feel by Memorial Day...

Welcome PigMaster!! Here;s some Karma to start you out. By Memorial Day, you will be going to bed earlier just to make the days go by quicker . .. . . We are coming down from northern Delaware, so maybe we'll see you on the way!

Welcome !! This will be my 2nd Roo and I will be 40 this year, so you aren't the only old one around here I haven't been doing many concerts or festivals lately either, but this is just too close to home to miss out on. I am taking my teenage daughter and her friend this year.
Oh and grits are nasty

I don't feel old (most of the time)....guess that's what counts! Cool that you're bring the daughter...I have a 23 yr old son...maybe next year.
We love grits...we were in Savannah this summer, and we stocked up on real southern grits. We also got a great recipe for cheesy grits...but I love e'm plain with lots of butter, salt and pepper...being Italian, this is just like eating mushy polenta!

43 and getting younger everyday. Bonnaroo keeps me young and I look forward to it every year. Being a father of four it gets harder and harder to go to a lot of shows so I pack my bags and disappear off the face of the earth for 5 days. I get completely away from the corporate world for a few days and my only worries are how cold my brew is and who do I want to listen to next. Sometimes you all make me feel a little old at the shows but you guys also are the ones who keep me young. There is nothing like the Bonnaroo experience!

Haha yes I totally agree with you. I look around and go oh my god I feel so old compared to everyone here, but I still have a blast and there is nothing like it. My fiance is 27 (quite a bit younger than me), so he keeps me young but so does the music and the whole experience.
